Sunday 9/12/10
Prep: Wash face with oatmeal/almond soap, hot towel
Shave Soap: SRD Blood Orange
Shave Cream: T&H Ultimate Comfort Unscented
Brush: shavemac best badger
Razor: Bob Allman 8/8 custom round point with Honduran rosewood scales
Result: Awesome shave!!!!
This is one of two of Bob Allman's (OCD Razors) fabulous razors that I'm "test driving". This beauty delivers the best of both worlds - she has the heft and presence of an 8/8", but her delicate edge sings so sweetly.
I normally do 3 passes plus a little touch up. However, with this baby I was presentable after 2 passes - the only reason I did a 3rd pass is because I couldn't bring myself to put her down.
Look for #2 in Monday's SOTD.
All I can say Bob is WOW!!!!

The pictures don't do them justice. The one with the smoother undulating spine work is somewhat of a French point, but the deceptive angle of the photo makes it look more like a spike point. It's an incredibly sexy razor!

Pre: Hot Shower with conditioner
Strop: Kanayama (35/70)
Lather: Al's Saigon Bomb + Proraso White SS + 6 drops Glycerin
Brush: Shavemac Silvertip
Razor: W&B scaled in B&W Ebony
Post: Alum + Thayer's Lavender
EdT: Creed Neroli Sauvage
The W&B left my face smooth and soft. The cream did a great job of moisturizing my face and ensuring that I had plenty of cushion and glide to get my BBS shave.
I can't decide what I think of the Neroli Sauvage. It's got a great opening note, but seems to die down and wear very close to the skin...
Well gentlemen, the week is officially starting. Pics look great so far, enjoy your shaves!
