I see you are enjoying your Cella...ain't it great? . I know the swirling technique worked for you but did you get the "pea" size idea to work for you?

BTW: I love that Diamond...beautiful blade
I just posted a reply to the other "Cella Thread." I have to try the "pea technique" again. I will give it a roll next time and see what happens!

I've been inactive on this site for about 6 months now, which is also how long it's been since my last straight shave (time and work constraints have forced me to a DE, and then from there to a Mach482.9, in the shower). Decided today to get out the straights and take my time shaving, and it's reminded me of everything I love about this type of shaving. I'm also impressed I managed to get a 2-pass BBS smooth shave with no nicks after 6 months away

Razors: Harris Bros Wedge for WTG pass (a very forgiving blade, ideal for my first pass in ages), followed by Kraut & Donal "Regina" ATG (small, spike point, and very maneuverable - my favourite ATG machine).
Brush: Tweezerman with Golden Nib silvertip knot
Uberlather: Proraso cream with Omega soap - mentholated goodness!
    AS: Royall Bay Rhum

Smooth, tight skin, with a lovely lingering fragrance - great start to my day!

First and foremost, WELCOME BACK! Second, Thanks for posting in the SOTD. We look forward to hearing and seeing more from you (no pressure). I know that Straight Razor shaving, this site, & the SOTD often get me through even my most challenging days. I hope you can find an escape as well. Again, Welcome back!

Very glad to have you back and straight shaving, but nothing wrong with DE....couldn't say the same for the mach though...although, I must admit, I don't know what the Mach 482.9 is

Perhaps this post will clear it up (the razor part is about halfway down, but the entire page is worth reading) - they call it the LightSpeed 3000 there, but I have it on good authority that Gillette are already onto the prototype stages in their shameless knockoff of the LS3000.
