Post Week of October 3 SOTD - Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 13/16" Scheön Burg #775, Hollow, Spike Point
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Überlather: CarrieM "Lemongrass" Shave Creme + Proraso Shave Soap + Glycerin
Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
Cologne: Creed Green Irish Tweed (courtesy of Bill, aka LegalBeagle)
Result: I guess the Vegas trip has taken its toll on me...I am bed ridden today, nursing a nasty flu . But, this little setback is not going to stop me from shaving. So, today seemed to be a perfect opportunity for using my Scheön Burg. There's no messing with this blade! It delivered a smooth, BBS shave with 3 passes. The lather was equally fantastic...I had received a free sample of the Proraso shave soap from a vendor on eBay and decided to mix it with CarrieM's Lemongrass shave creme...I could not smell it (due to the stuffy head cold), but I am sure it was awesome. However, the consistency and thickness were everything that I have come to expect from CarrieM's cremes.

Great pic, sorry to hear about the cold. I guess it's not worth asking what you think about the GIT because you can't smell it...

I smelled it (all 3 samples) yesterday when I opened it...I was great. Today, I could smell a hint of it but my wife tells me that it is very very good. If she likes it, that's all that counts for me.

    Default Something funny happened today

Someone in Sweden has been reading the SOTD here on SRP and used one of my SOTD pictures in a blog without my knowledge.

Today I got a PM here at SRP from the product manager at Weleda Norway. Turns out they like the picture so much they asked me if they could use it in a press realease about their products over here. Now isn't that cool? just thought I'd share.

    Amund,
Great to have you back on SOTD and hope you are feeling better.

Well, I guess every cloud does have a silver lining. Are they going to pay you?
