    Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger
Überlather: CarrieM "Bay Rum" Shave Creme + Cella Crema Da Barba Shave Soap+ Glycerin
Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
Result: I don't think an elaborate introduction to the Flilarmonica, which was the tool for today's shave, will be necessary to this SOTD crowd. The Tallow/Glycerin concoction led by CarrieM's Bay Rum Creme was a delight to the skin. Aaaahhhhhhh!!! Beautifully BBS all throughout. A mix of Trumper's moisturizer with a few drops of Floïd AS left my skin moisturized and refreshed. A wonderful start to this Monday.

Tomorrow will be my last straight razor (or even DE) shave for a couple of days ...I am leaving for DC on Tuesday AM with two carry-on bags...As such, I cannot take my DE or any straights on board . As much as I hate to do this, I will have to stick to my Fusion razor until Thursday (but my Vulfix brush and Godrej creme are going with me). Friday will be back to the straight world.

Have a great Monday gentlemen .
Nice Fili and great shot, Robert.

Looking forward to your DC visit. If you have particular requests for hardware in the SOTD so that you may live vicariously, don't be shy!

Today is the first time I used a razor that I put to a hone myself. I wanted to freshen up the blade so I lapped the 8000 grit Norton which by the way took more effort and time than I thought. Once it was lapped I did 5 laps on the 8000 and then 10 on a Coti.

Took a hot shower as always and scrubbed the face.
    Warm oil rubbed in well
    Dirty Bird
Old Spice Original (had a sample size)
    Badger Brush
    W&B Barbers Notch
    AOS Aluminum
    Gentleman's Best after shave

I enjoyed the shave. The blade worked well and did not pull as it had started to do. I was pleased with the shave. I kept Twinkie the Kid, which houses the emergency Twinkie, close by in case I needed some nourishment.
The gentleman's Best After Shave makes my skin feel nice.

You folks make such nice photographs. I look forward to reading all the posts every day. Thanks so much!!!

Nice Red Imp! I like the decorative washers.

I know what you mean about getting up earlier on your day off. I'm an early bird anyway, but I love getting up before my wife and daughter to get some "me" time (especially my shave). I hope you and the kids had fun at the pumpkin patch

Robert, 2 things. 1. That Fili is amazing, congratulations on finding such a nice blade. 2. I was literally talking to my computer like a person talks to the movie screen when watching a horror movie. Saying "Don't do it, don't shave with a fusion...no, don't do it". Maybe you can UPS yourself one, or pick one up while you are there. Let's find a member in DC who can loan you one, no fusion for you my friend!

    Have a safe trip.
