The wine region in MO has a very strong German heritage so wine similar to Rieslings are very good. The area also produces a very nice Chardonel as well as a nice Golden Spumante. It depends on the vineyard that you go to (my favorite is Stone Hill). Merlot, Cabernet, & Chardonnay are produced by some vineyards here, but they pale in comparison as those grapes don't do as well in our region.

    Cheers!
    Glenn,
In that case, I gotta find myself some of that region's chardonnay or Riesling, which my wife and I like. For the Merlot & Cabs, we got Napa Valley .

    Default Satu rday morning

    Pre: Hot shower
    Razor: E A Berg
    Brush New Forest 2201
    Soap: Scheerzeep Dutch Moss

Rainy today so I had a lot of time , however I overdid the neck some, but the Fonex fixed that pretty nicely. Also in pic today a Turkish snack - figs, mixed nuts, honey and sesame seeds. Very tasty stuff.

My daughter's flight was delayed 2 hrs last night. Upon her arrival I was very happy to see her. We went out for a quick dinner and then went home. I was in wonderful mood and decided, since it was late, to forgo a shave. Instead I enjoyed a bit of Scotch and a little desert, then retired for the evening. I can guarantee I fell asleep with a goofy smile on my face.

So this is my SOTD Photo.

    Jeff,
Sounds like a perfect end to a great evening. You gotta love the Lagavulin! So smooth, so smokey/peaty, mmmmm. I hear amazing things about the Penn State creamery, I'll have to give that a try next time I go up that away. Enjoy your daughters visit!

    Default SOTD 10-16-2010

    Prep: Hot shower
Strop: SRD Premium IV, English Bridle 25 webbing/ 50 leather
    Scuttle: SRD
Uberlather: Mama Bears "Northern Woods", St. Charles Shave unscented cream, 5 drops glycerin.
Brush: TGN Premium Silvertip in handle I turned in Cherry
Razor: Clauss I bought in the classifieds from Sham (Hi_bud_gl)
After Shave: Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood
Result: Ahh, today was back to normal. No knicks, slices, or other issues. The uberlather was a wonderful woodsy scent and provided excellent cushion & glide. The blade slid effortlessly over my face (shaved around the slice from yesterday) and delivered a bbs shave. I dried the blade and spent some extra time stropping it just for fun (I love stropping, it's almost hypnotic).

The shaves this week look amazing gentlemen, let's carry this momentum into next week for sure Cheers!
