My experience with the batch of Prairie Creations I got was that it gave a crappy looking lather, but a really nice shave. The quality was definitely better than a lot of my other soaps. I was using a DE at the time, though, and I don't know if that makes a difference.

Week of October 17 SOTD - Thursday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Razor: 5/8" Dubl Duck Special #1, Hollow, Spike Point Brush: 24mm Thäter Silvertip Badger Überlather: CarrieM's Dragon's Blood Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer AS Splash: Floïd Spanish Blue Result: Today, was another Duck day...a Special Duck (#1); one of my Smoooooothest shavers. The combination of CarrieM's creme + MWF + Glycerin was a fabulous recipe for a slick and thick, über-licious lather. The Floïd/Trumper's moisturizer mix provided for a very soothing and refreshing finish. Super prep, super shave, super satisfying .
Awesome pictures gentlemen . Have a great Thursday.

That is an understatement. I still wonder at times how I got so lucky to have her fall in love with me and agree to marry me!
It would never be nearly as attractive a picture as of my wife!
I'm not ready to give up on the PC, but my first impression was a bit underwhelming. Of course, I can't blame the soap yet. It's most likely my technique with it!
I've not tried the MWF or Cella, but perhaps one day soon I will...

Finished with Clubman's Vanilla some some Mama Bears cologne. Its going to be a goood day.

Thanked: 2516LOL, no not really SAD as I just have two actual scuttles. I have the Robert Becker Scuttle that I use everyday to get that nice warm lather and I have a soap scuttle; a Lord Nelson I use occasionally. The others are just large mugs with interesting decorations (I'm into the tall ships and Man-O-Wars.) Then I have a Ceramic lather bowl to soak the Boar brushes in and whip up some lather. (The bowl in the Robert Becker Scuttle is very deep and narrow so, I lather in the wider mouth bowl and transfer the loaded brush into the RB Scuttle bowl to soak up the heat and keep it warm throughout the shaving process.) I guess we get a little carried away in our shaving prep and accessories at times but then, that's what makes it so much FUN! LOL

Hot Shower
Mitchell's Wool Fat
New Forest #2211 Silvertip
Gebr. Weyersberg Corneta 078½
SRD Premium I Strop ... 41 Linen/85 Leather
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Nivea AS Balm
Mennen Skin Bracer
I rarely shower at this time of day, but spending the morning on my back under the truck convinced me! I'm gettin' too old and too stiff for this stuff!!
The Corneta surprises me every time I use it, as I tend to forget just how good it is... The New Forest Silvertip also was a revelation on da' Fat. I expected a bit less performance than one of my boars, but it proved to me just how versatile it is...
