Default Week of October 17 SOTD - Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Razor: 6/8" Dubl Duck Goldedge, Hollow, Spike Point
    Brush: 24mm Thäter Silvertip Badger
Überlather: Al Raz' Custom Shave Creme
Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
    Cologne: Penhaligon Endymion EDT
Result: Today, I decided to use a puck of goat milk soap that Rich (aka, Zib...thank you ) sent me a few days ago. The soap was made by Shelly in Utah (Shelly's site). By itself, it didn't quite have the "umph" needed for a decent lather, but it felt very moisturizing. So, I mixed it with Al's creme to give it some life...No cigar. The goat milk soap killed the lather. This is better suited as a bath soap than shave soap (but it is moisturizing and good). So, I cleaned my bowl and started with just Al's creme. Nothing else to dilute the experience. It was all that was needed for a honest to goodness moist, überlather. The spicy scent of Al's creme emanated and encapsulated the whole atmosphere in the shave den. Ahhhh!! What a feeling. And just as I was transitioning into the Zen mode, I reached for the quacking Duck (Max' signature work is all over this razor) for the final touches...This "Whisker Wacker" as I like to call it (pun intended ) left me nothing but a surprisingly super moist skin at the end of the routine . Very nice feeling indeed. Super smooth shave to start another busy day.

I have to say, I tried the Tabac Soap/Cream combo this past weekend and it was awesome! I could never have too much Tabac. I followed it up with the Cologne. Tabac overload!!!

I have to say, that the MWF + Musgo combo is my favorite uberlather so far, but the Tabac + Tabac is not far behind.

Yeah the Tabac and Musgo r probably neck and neck as my favorite each one moisturizes my face in a different way but those ways are awesome. HMMM maybe and Uber Uber lather with those four? Also ive been meaning to pick up the Tabac EDC, how does the smell compare to the soap , is it pretty spot on? Cause i love the smell of the soap.

Please no more PM and E-Mail.
    Yes, today I visited Buddel
No, I'm not his favorized client!
Yes, I learned again a lot about rescaling.
    No, I don't ordered a new Buddel-razor.

Buddel again invested a lot of money into his machines and other technique.
He has a lot to do because of increasing quantity of orders.
I gave him some blades for restoring and rescaling and I hope I get back the razors in the next 6 months.
It is no prob for me to wait such a long time because I know I get some beautiful items.
    Stay tuned Gentleman!

I am definitely using MWF + Musgo + Tabac for my next uberlather! Great idea!

I think that the Tabac Eau De Colgone smells almost exactly like the soap. It varies ever so slightly, but if you love the smell of the soap, I can't see you not loving the smell of the cologne. It comes in a huge bottle too!
