Great shave this morning! Before I went to bed last night I decided to give the razor 10 more feather like passes on my coticule with some lather on it.
The razor performed like a champ!

Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
    Cologne: Penhaligon Endymion EDT
Result: Today, I decided to use a puck of goat milk soap that Rich (aka, Zib...thank you ) sent me a few days ago. The soap was made by Shelly in Utah (Shelly's site). By itself, it didn't quite have the "umph" needed for a decent lather, but it felt very moisturizing. So, I mixed it with Al's creme to give it some life...No cigar. The goat milk soap killed the lather. This is better suited as a bath soap than shave soap (but it is moisturizing and good). So, I cleaned my bowl and started with just Al's creme. Nothing else to dilute the experience. It was all that was needed for a honest to goodness moist, überlather. The spicy scent of Al's creme emanated and encapsulated the whole atmosphere in the shave den. Ahhhh!! What a feeling. And just as I was transitioning into the Zen mode, I reached for the quacking Duck (Max' signature work is all over this razor) for the final touches...This "Whisker Wacker" as I like to call it (pun intended ) left me nothing but a surprisingly super moist skin at the end of the routine . Very nice feeling indeed. Super smooth shave to start another busy day.

    RESULT GREAT, CLOSE SHAVE

I loved this shave. My Dovo never disappoints me and the Tabac uberlather is seriously becoming my favorite uberlather. I have finally broken in my PJ3 and this thing is amazing my brush was packed with creamy, silky lather. Some Aqua Velva asb and aftershave, followed by NOIR and the I am feeling great and ready to take on this busy work day.

    HAVE A GREAT ONE!!!
    Matt,
I know I always forget how well my Dovo does, glad you are enjoying yours. Sounds like you had a great shave. How do you like the NOIR?
