I wasn't aware that there are present day Knights Templar. I was under the impression that they were wiped out in the Middle Ages..

I'll have to bone up on the subject!
Thanks Bill! The Knights Templar of today is an organization of the York Rite of Freemasonry. It consists of three chivalric Orders: Knights of the Red Cross, Knights of Malta and Knights of the Temple (Knights Templar).
The Knights Templar was thought to have gone underground after the persecution of the Order and it is believed that this was the basis for the Freemason guilds and the birth of Freemasonry as has evolved into todays Freemasonry.
To be a member of these Orders you must have progressed through the degrees of the York Rite. A pre-requisite to being a York Rite Mason is you must be a Master Mason ( 3rd Degree Mason) in the Masonic Craft Lodge or "Blue Lodge".
The present day Knights Templar are a quasi military organization espousing the principles and virtues of the Templars of old.

    Thanks Robert..

I remember like it was yesterday when I first got that album in mono... I played it until all that was left was hissing!
I knew about the Beatles before they arrived in the U.S.. My cousin used to send me singles and EP's from Wales... At that time I was on "the cutting edge," and you can tell that I never left it.... 'Course that was gettin' nigh on 50 years ago, so I'm guessin' I'm a wee bit stale in my musical tastes!
