Thanked: 1072Location: Sydney Australia
Prep: Hot Shower/Hot Towel
Strop: Illinois 835
Uber-Lather: Proraso (white) + Faulding Shave Cream + 5 drops Glycerine
Razor: Custom Gotta 120
Astringent: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
A/S: Nivea Replenishing Post Shave Balm
Result: The blade came through with the goods, gave a beautiful clean shave and the Uber-lather felt my face feeling great.
However I have some issues with the razor itself. The scales are just too heavy for the blade, and combine that with having no jimps or thumb notch, this one is just a PITA to strop. I have a few ideas on how I'll rectify the problems and when I get home in a couple of weeks I'll do some mods.
Enjoy Sunday fellas.

Fall is in the air
Good morning, If the neighbors had any lingering doubts as to my sanity I'm quite sure all are removed taking a picture of a razor at 8:30 AM on a Sunday outside 39 degrees?
Anyway here goes:
Preshave: Hot towel
Brush: Burma Shave Boar
Soap: Williams
Razor: DOVO white bone Bismark
ASB: Polo Blue
Cologne: Polo Blue
The Williams soap and the boar brush I picked up at a local store a year ago its what started my interest in STR8 shaving remembering my dads old shave mug and brush although he used a DE. Enough rambling Great Shave the DOVO gives a nice smooth comfortable effort. Have a great day everyone.

Well this is a photo of two razors, the Boker inox I used on Friday (but didn't have time to post till now) and the Henckels just now.
Soap: L'Occitane
Brush: Semogue 1305
Razor: Boker Inox + Henckels 91
Afterwards: Poraso
Both razors are sublime but the inox is smooth and stiff, easily getting through a couple of days growth which now seems to be the norm for me, I'm shaving once every three days it seems at the moment.
