But the best for me is not to read how do you like a shave but know that you will put your shaves and pics next to mine, thank you all for being there.

One day more proud to post my pics and shave in the SOTD thread of SRP
You, Sir, are a true gentleman. Your photos are inspiring to me, but your genuine sincerity makes me even more proud to be able to post alongside your beautiful works of art!

    Default Happy Thanksgiving

    Prep:Hot shower
    Brush:TGN Custom 24mm Silvertip Premium A
Strop: SRD Premium IV English Bridle
    Scuttle: SRD
Cream: KD Creation's Black Raspberry vanilla
    Razor: Livi 6/8
After shave: Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood
    EDT: Cuba Red

Result: A delicious smelling cream and a phenomenal razor in preparation for the feast to come. The razor removed all traces of whiskers, the Ogallala feels and smells especially luxurious this morning.

In today's photos I pay homage to the fine artisans whose exquisite soaps and creams are such a huge part of this daily ritual we like to call “shaving”. I further wish to express my deepest thanks to each of you for the big part you play in my small corner of the world. You make SRP great and You make the SOTD what it is; a right of passage, a circle of friends, a band of brothers. We come from different walks of life, have different occupations, beliefs, and our lives are as varied as the snow flakes that will fall in the upcoming winter months (at least in the Northern Hemisphere). Yet we find commonality of purpose and comradery in this “simple” life pleasure. We unite under this banner and find a better part of ourselves, a better part of others, and we take that part back to our daily lives and those around us. Thank you for being “the better part” for others and for yourself. Whether today you celebrate Thanksgiving or today is just Thursday, I am so very thankful for each of you! Cheers!

    Glenn

    Razor: Genco “Easy Aces”
    After shave: Brut
    EDT: Burberry “Weekend”

Result: Today was the first day I used the Semogue 830 with a cream. I must say that I still prefer badger for cream and boar for soap. The spicy smell of the Bodega cream was intoxicating as I marinated my face in it. The Genco is a small, nimble blade very similar to the my Dubl Duck. The shave was smooth and easy and I'm ready to start the day. I took this week off and have been having some lazy mornings with my soon to be 2 year old little girl. She likes to brush my face and say “rough” before I shave and afterwards she will feel it and say “Smooooooth”. Gotta love that kid Have a great day gentlemen, you deserve it!
    Glenn,
My daughters are 22 and 19. They have been running their hand over my freshly shaved face since they were 2 also. They never checked the whiskers before but after a shower and shave, they would waddle over, run their hand over my face just like their mother did and state "ohhh.....smoooothy smooth Daddy." This past Tuesday the older daughter arrived home from Florida. Later, I showered and shaved and as she walked past me, at age 22, she ran her hand over my face and exclaimed "ohhhh Daddy, very smooothy smoooth." Kissed my cheek and then retired for the evening.

My point is that you will be enjoying those comments for many, many years to come. It is those little moments that I miss most when they are away at school.

Something my Dad taught me upon the birth of my first daughter, I am not sure he is the Author:

" A son is a son until he takes a wife. A daughter is a daughter for the rest of your life." Unknown author.

    Enjoy your Holiday!!!

PS I love that Easy Aces, but I think I've told you that before.
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
    Albert Einstein
