    Default Thursday Afternoon

Prep: Hot shower--followed by Proraso pre-post-shave cream
    Brush:
Omega “Lucretia Borgia Series” Best Silvertip
    SS:
    SRD “Opus X”
    Razor:
    Merkur 34C HD w/ Gillette 7 O’clock blade
    Astringent:
Thayer's Original Witch Hazel w/ Aloe Vera
    ASB:
    Zirh “Soothe”
    Cologne:
    Zirh
    Result:
    Quick, close, comfortable shave…

I hadn't used my SRD Opus X in quite a while. It whipped up into a generous, fragrant lather and an outstanding shave.

Have a great day and for those SRP members who celebrate it, an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Thank you Robert! Your SOTD is great, as allways . I really enjoy his strops, a lot. I very rarely uses any of my other strops nowadays and I only "need" to get a finnishing strop from him and then I´m set for life, lol. I´ve been very corious on Da Bomb for a long while now, thanks to you . Is it that good?

Razor: Filarmonica DT13 (Shave Ready/No Strop)
Nomad + Bomb Potomac + Glycerin
    Shavemac Custom Silvertip
    Bomb Potomac ASB
    Creed Windsor

First and foremost, for those who celebrate it: HAPPY THANKSGIVING! The razor was my second test shave off my new Ozuku stone. Another smooth edge (though I'm convinced this Filarmonica could be sharper - perhaps it should go back to the lower grits). While I didn't do a "themed" SOTD, this shave couldn't be much more luxurious between the top shelf razor, the super soft badger brush, the incredible lather, and the divine Windsor as a finisher...

    Bring on the turkey!

Thank you Mikael...You are too kind. Da Bomb is fantastic. Al has a rewards program thingy going (I think). Check it out. It is a fabulous creme formulated by a PhD chemist...If anyone knows cremes, it's Al. few others do as deeply as he does. He has great ingredients in his stuff (even though he doesn't list them...which doesn't matter). It is worth the $ (I don't remember what he charges either...$20 or so). And an 8oz tub goes a very very long way. it will probably outlast you. I highly recommend it.

I showered and shaved earlier after deep frying the bird.
    Warm oil
    Hannah made ceramic bowl
    Badger brush
    Nancy Boy Shave cream
    SRDP1 Strop, 25 felt 50 leather
    Red Imp
    AOS Aluminum
    Vaseline for men

Nice shave. House full of family. Many good laughs and a great dinner.

Dinner table photo. The photo is not so good because I was being rushed because everyone was hungry.

    Enjoy the day!!
