Glad to hear everyone is OK Jeff. I love the furniture in the background. I've seen it before and never commented, but it is a nice piece

I took my henckles 50 back to the hones after my last shave with it. Much better. It took 3 passes last time now im down to the 2-2 1/2 passes. Smooth. I also took a razor that a new member here sent me to hone. I offered to help him out. Ahh very nice. I think i have a decent routine for my hones. I will continue and see if the results continue.

Oh im starting to think that the boar are not a good choice for Uberlather.

    SRD Strop
    SOC boar brush
    Jasmine soap
    Henckles 50
    Thayers witch hazel
    skin food
    Bay rum Balm
    Ogallala AS

Congratulations on the continued honing success Rene! I haven't tried the boar with uberlather, but It does amazing things with soap IME.

I've had some good results with uberlather (though not as good as with my silvertips). Where it really shines, though, is when I face lather with a soap!

Glad to hear you're getting better with the stones!

    Henkles 7/8 in Bocote

The Henkles is a big blade and gives a very smooth shave. Sort of like driving a Lincoln compared to yesterdays Dubl Duck which is like a sports car.
Ooouchhh Jeff...glad that everyone is OK, but I bet it threw you and wife in a loop for awhile.

I love that Henckels . And that's a great analogy with the cars. Never thought of blades that way

    Hey Lu,
Nice blade . If you have experience, I would love to know how you'd compare the "Le Dressante" to other Cotis like "La Veinette" or "La Petite Blanche"?
