A Proraso kind of day
Location: 32°28′05″N 93°55′16″W
Music: George Thorogood & the Destroyers
Prep: Shower
Preshave: Proraso Pre-shave Cream
Scuttle: 1.5 Dirty Bird
Soap: Proraso
Brush: New Forest 2211
Razor: Wade & Butcher Hollow Ground
Balm: Proraso Liquid Cream Aftershave
After Shave: Colors by Benetton for Men
Result: Another wonderful shave with this blade. Max did an awesome job sharpening this after I blunted the edge with my poor stropping. Two passes and a little touch-up around the chin with one minor nick which my septic stick took care of and I’m ready for a new day. I’ve definitely noticed my speed is increasing while my effort at getting the perfect angle has lessened. It’s hard to believe that I’ve only been doing this for a little more than two months. To all the other newbie’s out there, just keep at it and the results will start coming faster and faster.

And got it right you did David. It was a great shaver, smooth and dint tug at all, Also the blade gives very little feedback so i dint even know i was shaving until i saw my silky smooth skin. Lets just say some type of Japanese straight is on my list in the very near future, I dont think i ever want to not have one in my rotation from now on, so again thanks David

Prep:Hot Towell
Brush:Custom TGN 24mm Premium A in Crimson Acrylic
Strop: SRD Premium IV English Bridle 100 leather
Scuttle: SRD
Uberlather: Mama Bear's “Northwoods”, J.M. Fraser Mosswood, 5 drops glycerin
Razor: Wostenholm Pipe (experiment #1)
After shave: Brut
EDT:Polo Blue
Result: Used the Wostenholm again today after revisiting the hones again. I experimented with just the Asagi. Light slurry diluting to water (10 dilutions 10 laps between). The edge was very keen and fairly smooth. I'd like a little bit more smoothness, but the keenness of the blade was very nice. The shave was very comfortable, and provided BBS in 3 passes. A truly enjoyable shave today.
I know the themed SOTD doesn't start until next week, but we got snow overnight and I just couldn't help myself this morning.
Have an excellent day gentlemen, you've earned it!
Glenn

That's one of the nicest Wade and Butcher's I've seen Max
Very nice Revisor Tom I used the Brut today also, the scent brings back fond memories of when I first started shaving.
Your SOTD looks great and sounds like it is nice and warm (The windchill here is -10 degrees Fahrenheit!).
