    Today's Shave

    Hot Shower
    Warm Oil
    Hannah Ceramic Bowl
    Badger brush
    Nancy Boy shave cream
Gebr. Becker "Black King" full hollow
    Nancy Boy AS
    Pinaud Bay Rum
    Vaseline for men

Today's shave was special for me because I repaired the bevel and honed through finishing the Black King. It had a few tiny chips in the bevel and one pretty large one. I worked the blade from the Norton 220 to remove the large chip through the 1k,4k,8K and Coti. Then stropped it 100 on felt and 100 on leather. It took much longer than I thought to remove the chip and set the bevel. Once the hair on my arm started to pop off I knew I was heading in the right direction. I did Lynn's progression to the letter and then did 60 laps on the Coti.
I stropped up the Henkels also just in case my work was not good enough. I did my normal prep and then went for the shave. I really was shocked when the razor gave a beautifully smooth shave. I had to stop during the shave serveral times because I was smiling and did not want to cut myself.
Been a long time since I felt so self satisfied with something I did. Thanks to all for the help.

    Enjoy the evening.

That's the spirit. Never give up until you're satisfied.
