Default A Proraso kind of day

    Location: 32°2805N 93°5516W
Music: George Thorogood & the Destroyers
    Prep: Shower
    Preshave: Proraso Pre-shave Cream
    Scuttle: 1.5 Dirty Bird
    Soap: Proraso
    Brush: New Forest 2211
Razor: Wade & Butcher Hollow Ground
    Balm: Proraso Liquid Cream Aftershave
After Shave: Colors by Benetton for Men
Result: Another wonderful shave with this blade. Max did an awesome job sharpening this after I blunted the edge with my poor stropping. Two passes and a little touch-up around the chin with one minor nick which my septic stick took care of and I’m ready for a new day. I’ve definitely noticed my speed is increasing while my effort at getting the perfect angle has lessened. It’s hard to believe that I’ve only been doing this for a little more than two months. To all the other newbie’s out there, just keep at it and the results will start coming faster and faster.

And got it right you did David. It was a great shaver, smooth and dint tug at all, Also the blade gives very little feedback so i dint even know i was shaving until i saw my silky smooth skin. Lets just say some type of Japanese straight is on my list in the very near future, I dont think i ever want to not have one in my rotation from now on, so again thanks David

Default A Shave in Honor of AlRaz, Jr.

    Le Grelot
    Bomb Boheme
    Semogue 830
    Thayer's Lavender
    Bomb Boheme ASB
    Montale Blue Amber

Congratulations to Al and his newly enlarged family! Today's shave features some items inspired by my friendship with Al. The Bomb, of course, and my first boar brush, the purchase of which grew out of a conversation he and I had in chat one evening. The Le Grelot was chosen because Max recently restored this one, and it represents the beauty and dedication to excellence which we all know Al's new son will demonstrate himself during his life. Finally, the Montale Blue Amber because it's a boy!!
