    In preparation for the blizzard;

Hot Shower with Stephan's rubbed into my three day growth.
    Warm Oil
    Hannah Ceramic Bowl
    New Forest Badger
    Nancy Boy Cucumber Shave Cream
    John Engstrom frame back
    Ambrose Strop
    AOS Aluminum
    AOS Styptic Powder
    Thayers Rose Petal
    Vaseline for men.

After three days or no shaving I really enjoyed myself today. I've used the frame backs twice and so far I nicked myself twice. I wonder, they are very sharp and freshly honed by Dylan. Maybe the shape of the blade or the lack of flex. Either way I'll keep at it with those blades since they shave very nicely.

    Enjoy the day.

    Phil,
I hope you're healing is coming along fine. We missed you on SOTD. It's amazing how much we take our appendages for granted...until they go out of commission

If the new year is anything like this one, SOTD will be the pinnacle(once again) of shave forums, thanks to you fine gentlemen! Thanks and Happy New Year
Participation is never mandatory, but you certainly more than made up for the absence. Way to go on the razors (and the Case from MIL) and congrats. Great shaves and hardware.

I agree with you on the SOTD

    Jeff,
I hope you will be indoors through this blizzard. I hope that it just becomesa mere whimper and blows through.

Nice way to treat yourself to a wonderful shave with some nice hardware (despite the nick )

    [B]Prep:[/]Hot Shower
    Brush:TGN Custom Silvertip Premium
Strop: SRD Premium IV English Bridle 50 laps
    Scuttle: SRD
Cream: Frankincense, Myrrh, & Vetiver Bomb
    Razor: Clauss USMC Custom
    After shave: Al's Custom ASB
    EDT: Cartier Roadster

Result: The edge of the Clauss is almost there (it was good, just not as good as I know it can be). It will likely appear again this week after I play around on the stones some more. 3 passes and BBS. If you've never tried Cartier Roadster, check it out next time you're at a fragrance counter (vanilla, vetiver, patchouli to name some of the base scents). It's my new favorite
Today was a continuation of playing, assembling toys, and trying to keep up. My sweet little girl is 2 today. I got my shave in about 2pm and then it was off to Chuck E Cheese (a pizza place with rides, games, etc for the kids) to celebrate. She rode rides, played games, ran all over the place, got a billion gifts from her grandparents, aunts, & uncles. I had a blast...but man am I tired. One thing is for sure, the whole family will sleep well tonight!

Another great start of the week gentlemen!
