Of course it is Tom...Great choice of blade
Very nice Engels Marc
Couldn't agree more
Excellent shot Glenn. Well done.
An "Al National Day" would be a good idea.
Good luck with the evaluations. Fortunately, I did mine towards the tail end of December. It is a headache, but someone's gotta do it.
Mikael,
You are such a tease. Great looking blade. Love the sky blue scales.
Sounds like a quick heavenly shave Grant. Hope you enjoyed the movie.
I really like it Mark. Very nice Friodur. Nivea is great stuff

Week of Janauary 2 SOTD - Wednesday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower (J.R. Liggett bar shampoo + L'Occitane Shea Butter Verbena bath soap) Razor: Iwasaki "2-chou gake (二丁垳)" Kamisori Brush: 26mm Simpson "Chubby #2", 3-Band, Super Badger Soap/Überlather: Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Creme + Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer Cologne: Acca Kappa 1869 EdT Results (shower): I do realize that this is a "Shave Of The Day" forum and have to apologize for the off topic post about our shower products here, but I had this urge to share. Today, the shower was exhilarating. My wife and I have been looking for a good natural shampoo and body soap for some time now and after a few experiments, we have finally found what we were looking for. The J.R. Liggett bar shampoo is an amazing product. All natural and packed with wholesome and goodness for your hair. Rub a little in your hair and you will be treated to an amazingly rich lather. What's good is that this 3.5 oz of bar doesn't even require any conditioner and washes out squeaky clean, with no left over residue (and we could feel this). It leaves your hair fabulously moist and conditioned. Even my wife (who is picky about her shampoos/conditioners) fell in love with this unassuming bar shampoo. We have a favorite . As far as bath soaps, I have several on tap (Claus Porto, L'Occitane, Crabtree & Evelyn, One with Nature, South of France, etc...each with different scents). For our first try, we decided to go with L'Occitane's Verbena soap. I can say that this soap is amazing...it is as refreshing as the Cade shaving soap...My skin feels amazingly moisturized . I don't know how many of you have tried these products, but I highly recommend the J.R. Liggett shampoo bar a try (and no, I am not being paid to endorse their products). It will not disappoint. Neither will the L'Occitane soap. Over time, I will update you on the other bath soaps. Results (shave): The shower prepped my whiskers extremely well with minimal effort. The Acca Kappa überlather was an excellent choice for soap/creme. I love the combo...it truly produces one of the best übers either side of the Mississippi (and I think it is mostly due to the creme rather than the soap). My choice of razor for today was the Iwasaki 2-chou gake, whose heft is just perfect. This beauty revealed a refreshingly new and BBS smooth skin underneath the 5 O'clock shadow, which quickly became nothing more than yesterday's old news. The Acca Kappa EdC (notes: cardamom, geranium, iris, violet, amber, vanilla, and leather) provided a nice finishing touch to this wonderful shave. The 1869 EdT really has a warm and subtle scent, which lasts and lasts...A highly recommended EdT for those of you who are interested without breaking the bank.

Today, Armenians all over the world will be celebrating January 6th as the day Christ was born...Some say He was baptized on this day, others claim that the day coincided with a visit by the three kings. Yet other claims challenge these notions by claiming this day to be the day of Epiphany. Who's right? Does it matter? It is an interesting Theological question/debate...To me, this is another celebration and an excuse to feast and be with family.
Have a FANTASTIC Wednesday guys.

Thanked: 13245Sometimes you just have to brag ...
Yes this one is just flat plain bragging, I admit it, but you know you would do the same
Test shaves this morning
1. #14 Ducal in Amethyst Acrylics from Gemstar
2. Dutch Rattler in Orange Micatra
3. Filarmonica #13 the Newest 7/8 version in Green Ghost Micarta
4. W&B Celebrated in custom wood scales
(I have an idea who customized the last 3, but do not know for sure)
My test shaves are done rather simple to actually test the edge not my prep and lathering ability.. I do a rather fast Lather on the face only this time was SRD Frankincense soap and a Col. Conk pure badger brush one WTG pass and one ATG pass for each razor and done...
The Filly and Ducal were done using the Naniwa SS system and the two Sheffielders were done on Norton 1-4-8 then finished on my Coticule for those interested...
No middle of the week slump here in Idaho LMAO

Wars is a polish shave cream, made for the russian market . I friend of mine pick a tube for me in Warsaw (that's the reason for the name WARS...AW)
The scent it's as an elegant citrus based cologne, as a poor sister of T&H 1805, but this cream is dirty cheap (0.50€) and the perfomance is pretty decent, as a TOBS cream
