I´ve been eyeing those Silverwings too ... and other TI.s. Nice to here they behave, now I only need to resist the urge, lol. MWF works for me in the winter months, but my skin is to oily for it in the hoter time of the year - can you say pimples

    Have a GREAT Monday guys.
Stunning TI Robert! Those scales are amazing. Also loving the "Chubby" and strongly considering one.

Oh, and it's Tuesday! All of that amazing gear has put your head in the clouds!

Thanks Fonti . It is a wonderful mix. Violet and Rose do go well together (first tome trying). Lavender/Rose or lavender/Violet will be a great combos too.

Get one if you can...you won't be disappointed. it is a very hard steel, but well worth it. An amazingly smooth shaver.

yeahh...I remember you were having some "breakouts" using MWF is summer. Glad it's working out in winter.

Oooops...fixed the date. Thanks for pointing it out. My head has been way up in the clouds. I am going to have a rough time going back to work on Thursday...maybe for at least a week.

Great looking blade you got there Jason. I love the tang design (very unusual)...such concave symmetry on both top and bottom. How does she handle?

The onion soup was fantastic as always. As far as new years was concerned I looked like a little person standing next to my 2 freinds. All I did was enjoy myself and they kept the boys away from my girls.

Result: I love my Pipe razors. The old Sheffield steel takes a wonderful edge and provides an amazing shave. 2 passes = very smooth and relaxing!
Sorry about the cell phone camera pic, was in a rush and didn't get to post as normal today.

Today's shave started with a hot shower and as always Stephan's rubbed into my beard.
    Warm Oil
    Hannah Ceramic Bowl
    Trumper's Violet Shave Cream
    Glycerin
    Badger Brush
    SRP Premium 1 40 Felt 75 leather
Hibbard, Spencer,Bartlett and Co., Our Very Best 395
    AOS Aluminum
    Pinaud Bay Rum
    Vaseline for Men

Today's shave was OK. I never shaved with this razor before. I ran it on the Crox a few times and then stropped it. This razor was very light in my hand as compared to the big DD I used yesterday. It needs to get a little attention on the stones to get a really good shave as it pulled a small amount today. Nothing terrible, but I'm sure t could be much better after a run on the rocks.
I used Trumper's with a few drops of Glycerin today. The lather just seemed to keep coming. Very thick, smooth and warm. It was such a rich lather tonight I stopped mid way in my shave to photograph the brush loaded up.

    Enjoy.
