I have not shaved with a straight since last Friday due to being under the weather and not having the energy or time these past few mornings. Luckily, the Goodfella makes DE shaving almost as fun.

The end result was one of my smoothest thus far only problem being that (3) the Caswell Massey failed horribly when it came to lubricating during the shave so I'm still a tad bit sore on some areas of my face. I've got one last idea to try with the C.M. and some additives but if that doesn't work (4) it'll just have to become my new shower facial wash (even though it's not working as a shave soap/cream doesn't mean I want to throw money down the drain).
    Michael,
    (1) Faux uber? That is a creative name. I like it.
    (2) a 3/8"? wowww...impressive. How does she handle?
    (3) That's because it's a "Faux" uberlather, LOL
    (4) That is yet another creative way to use failed products. Kudos...I like the way you think

A nice shave Teiste. Very nice. I like Acqua Di Parma...I have to pull mine out of the fridge one of these days. I miss the scent and performance.

Result: A wonderful shave with the Dubl Duck. I always enjoy a luxurious shave prior to traveling. I normally have time to post on travel days, but not yesterday. Let's just say that I flew out of a snow storm, into a snow storm, and drove into an ice storm after being stranded in Charlotte (they closed the airport due to running out of de-icer) and the airline refusing to give me my checked bag (Very important meeting I had to be at this morning). I made it to my Hotel safely after a 3 hour drive on snow packed and ice covered highways (arived at 2:15am). So I had my laptops, the clothes on my back, & a few bare essentials...but not straight razor

So today's shave went like this:
    Tuesday 1/11/11
Razor: Disposable *!@* from the front desk
Result: I found myself instinctively stretching and I got a surprisingly good shave all things considered. My bag surfaced in Greensboro, so I drove to Greensboro after work tonight and got it. I don't think I will ever take my straight shaves for granted ever again. I guess I'm going to have to get a DE back up for the carry on

Thanks for letting me ramble gentlemen, great shaves (looked at many of them on the blackberry while waiting at the airport).

    Glenn
Oouuuuchhhh brotha...I feel your pain. Be safe maestro. We're all pulling for you here.

But, great Monday shave Glenn, but YIKES on the Tuesday one...especially with a front desk disposable blade...Ooouccchhhh!!! I've had a few of those and let's just say I feel your pain.

Whatever you do, just be safe. It will be a love affair again soon with your straights once you get home

PS: Good luck with the meeting and ramble on my friend...this community's all ears.

Oouuchhh Frank...get better soon. Al's creme is anti-flu/anti-cold. It is guaranteed to make you feel better.
