(1) That just came off the top of my head. Probably because it looked really good when I got done whipping it up but like some of the reviews I've read since I got it have stated that the lather just sort of evaporates.
(2) I'm pretty sure it's a 3/8...I'll check tonight when I get home. I got it off fleabay last year from one of the vendors in Argentina(?) that for a while alway's had about a doz or so listed in various sizes and quite a few of the Especial barbas duras whatevers.
(3) Hope for a miracle...work with what you get.
(4) Thanks Blade. I try to get my money's worth out of what I buy. It'd have to be really...really bad to just chuck it out. Hey if nothing else it still has a nice scent so....

Week of January 9 SOTD - Wednesday
******************************Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger Razor: 7/8" Solingen Stainless, 1/4 Hollow, Round Point Strop: 60/75 (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather) Überlather: Al Raz Custom "Cloves/Lavender/Black Pepper" Shave Creme Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Balm: Truefitt & Hill Trafalgar Cologne: Truefitt & Hill Spanish Leather Results: Another fabulous shave this AM...This time with the Solingen Stainless. Rogue whiskers stood no chance with this blade. It had been awhile since I had used Al's wonderful creme. This creme is soooooo über-good, that it needs no help from any soap or glycerin. Excellent cushion and glide. This shave was SMOOOOOOOTH as butter !!! I feel BBS and clean.
Have a FANTASTIC Wednesday gentlemen.

Return of a wedge
Location: 32°28′05″N 93°55′16″W
Music: Dan Fogelberg
Prep: Hot Shower & towel
Preshave: Proraso
Scuttle: 1.5 Dirty Bird
Soap: Cella Crema da Barba
Brush: Vulfix 2233S
Razor: Frederick Reynolds 5/8 Barbers Notch Wedge
Balm: Nivea Post Shave Balm
After Shave: L’Occitan Vetyver EdT
Result: A wonderful shave. Bob Keyes did a tremendous job removing a couple nasty nicks from this blade and bringing it back to shave ready status. I truly love all my Sheffield shavers and I appreciate the work Bob did to allow me to bring this Frederick Reynolds into my shave rotation.
+ Sorry, but photo failed to upload so I can't share a photo today. +
