Week of January 30 SOTD - Sunday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 26mm Saville Row 3326, Silvertip Badger Razor: 6/8" Solgen "Real Japanese Hollow Ground" #75, Hollow, Truncated French Point/Angled Spike Point Strop: 55/65 (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather) Überlather: CarrieM "Spicy Orange" Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue Results: CarrieM's "Spicy Orange" was a wonderful scent and combined with the MWF, produced an exceptionally moist, and thick lather. The Saville Row's wonderfully soft tips was a treat to use and work the lather in. This is, by far, the best part of shaving - i.e., prepping. I love taking my time. The Solgen was definitely in charge today. She had no problems wiping the 5 O'clock shadow from yesterday, leaving behind a wonderfully smooth and BBS skin. Now, I am ready for a relaxing day today.

Enjoy your Sunday gentlemen.

It's been a while since I posted to the SOTD but I do read them. Thank you all for the great pictures and sharing your gear!
This razor was a local find of a Masonic W&B. I had rescaled it in Horn and later came to a barter agreement with Shutterbug where I couldn't pass up an other rescaling of this razor, this time by John. If you are interested in the work behind the scales you can find it in Shutterbug's thread here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/custo...es-master.html I did re-hone the razor due to all of the handeling.
Prep: Hot shower w/ CarrieM's Drakar bath soap
Strop: Linen and SRD Bridal
Brush: Shavemac 23mm Silver tip
SC: CarrieM's Lavender
Razor: Wade and Butcher - Sheffield with Masonic symbols frosted into the blade
Cologne: Royall Spyce
This was a wonderful shave and the razor will be reserved for special occasions, probably the pre-birthday shave as Jr gifted me a beautiful Nes for my Birthday!“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)
