Friodur 8/8 | Shavemac | Bomb Custom | Thayers Rose | Bomb Custom ASB | Profumo.it Mecca Balsam

All that I can say after today's shave is WOW! The new formulation Bomb exploded in my shave bowl. I was swimming in the best smelling suds you could imagine with citrus and vetiver and herbs filling the air. The Friodur, rescaled by Max, wiped away my 2+ days worth of growth as if there was nothing there to begin with. My face is smooth and soft.

I am truly ready for the day!

Excellent shots so far, gentlemen. Thank you for sharing!

Had the day off, so spent over 30 minutes on this mornings shave. The T-I shaved wonderfully, I honed it on a Naniwa 12 K after getting it, and it seems I got it OK. It shaves very close and smoothly, not a nick in sight Today I wanted the best of shaves, and after two passes agaist the grain I felt like a babyface

Good Monday all, and thank you for all the great posts!

Something about those Swedes, they sure do love to cut me. I now have a nice crescent moon scar on my chin about 2 inches long. Remember kids, "Never Whistle While You're pi$$ing!"

Post Week of January 30 SOTD - Monday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 22mm New Forest Silvertip Badger
Razor: 13/16" Tokyo "Coral", 3/4 Hollow, Spike Point
Strop: 50/60 (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Cyril Salter "French Vetiver" Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
    Cologne: Creed Original Vetiver
Results: Excellent lather, fabulous prep, followed by a memorable shave . Today's shave is with another Japanese razor, i.e., the Tokyo Coral. She delivered an "out-of-this-world" and smooth shave. Wowwwww...My face was literally as smooth as a baby's bottom. Now, I can get this last Monday in January started with a bang.

    Monday 1/31/11

    Geneva Cutlery Pyramid No.7 5/8
    Semogue 1305
Prairie Creations Old Spice Type ss
    Thayers Cucumber WH w/aloe
    Aqua Velva a/s
    Nivea Extra Soothing a/s balm
    Acqua di Selva Edt

After it's last use I touched up this razor on the razor hone. I was curious to see if I could discern any difference in it's feel. Well, it felt smoother than the previous shave and I gave myself as close to a BBS shave that I can with the straight. Two passes and few touch up passes on my neck and chin and voila! Finished with the Acqua di Selva which I really like but usually reserve it for summer use. And today will be better than yesterday.
