Thursday
Pre: Hot shower
Brushes: Shavemac D01 two band + New Forest 2221
Razor: Red Imp 133
Soaps: Nannys Patchouli + The Spicy One
AS: Mennen
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean
Wow, what a brush, the Shavemac. Soft and pure luxury . And the NF is a lather master and produced tons of lather. Today I lathered up my Nanny test soap again (The Spicy One, not in pic) and I got it better today and it produced lovely slippery Nannys lather. First I did the same mistake as I did yesterday and made it to dry (it looked good enough to put a cherry on top off though, but was to dry). I´ll keep on it this week, but this seems to be a very good soap indeed and I´ll get it right from start next time (tomorrow ).

I started down a new career path tonight. I began pre-apprenticeship training to be a Chef. What this basically means is that I dont have a job yet, but in the next 10 weeks I will spend 3 days per week doing college training plus 2 days per week doing work placement in a local restaurant, and hopefully land an apprenticeship after that. There is not a lot of work in Coffs Harbour, but this is a good industry, I'm pretty confident.
My first night training went well, but I'm tired now, just a quick 2 passes with the Barbers Pet. Nice and smooth, I really like the MWF. Now its time to relax.

Prep:Hot shower
Brush:AOS Pure Badger
Strop:none
Cream: Cade
Razor: Gillette
After shave: Alum, Pinaud Clubman, Nivia for men
EDT: L'Occitane Vetyver
Result: I tried 3 passes with the DE this morning (only my 2nd ever DE shave). It went well except on the front of my neck I ended up with some razor burn. Smooth everywhere except, ironically, on the front of my neck (right above the adams apple). I tried the Cade cream again today, I used more than last time got a slightly thicker lather, but it felt too thick (like yogurt instead of whipped crème). I still need to give it a whirl with distilled water.
Great SOTD's everyone, wish I had time to comment on them all, but since I don't...
THANKS!
Have a great Thursday
Glenn

Hands down my best shave in the last two weeks. A quick touch up hone left the edge on this thing mega crisp. I was pretty much BBS after one pass but did a second just for fun.The older I get, the better I was
