My newest acquisition, a 50mm Iwasaki Kamisori...
I had been wanting my very own for awhile, thankfully the itch wasn't unbearable, but when this beaut came up in the Classifieds I decided it was time...
The edge is really nice already, but I think a bit of Nakayama loving will make it sing in a bit higher key ...
The lather was Prairie Creations Tallow Tahitian Amber, whipped up with a restored solid brass 22 mm sliver tip...
25/50 on my Nichiri Pelican strop
A very very light touch 2 pass shave yielded a DFS
Followed by a huge splash of Lucky Tiger Bay Rum..
I am ready for some Buckwheat Pancakes doused with real Maple Syrup, not that imitation junk, and it is going to be a great Sunday
Yep! I love that Lucky Tiger bay rum also...It reminds me of being a kid in the barber shop....Back when hair cuts were two bits..

Happy Birthday to SF and Grant.
I missed Mark's b'day as well so belated Happy Birthday and anniversary to you.
Alpine, Welcome to the SOTD Brotherhood.
Today's shave:
Hot shower
Warm Oil
Acca Kappa Shave cream
Badger Brush
Hannah ceramic bowl
Wade and Butcher, Celebrated Barbers notch
Ambrose canvas, 40 laps leather 60
AOS Aluminum
Pinuad Bay Rum
Vaseline for Men
Today I used shave oil which was my home brew. Several different oils combined with a few drops of cinnamon oil and orange oil. I was pleasantly suprised at the scent which was unique due to the sweetness of the orange and the cinamon combined.
The Acca Kappa cream once again was spectacular.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Week of February 13 SOTD - Sunday
A SPECIAL SHAVE
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 24mm Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger Razor: 13/16" G. Wostenholm "Original Pipe Razor", Full Hollow, Spike Point, Blue Paua scales (Restored by Max) Strop: 5/10 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather) Überlather: Al Raz "Cloves, Orange, Cinnamon" Shave Creme Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue Cologne: Creed Original Santal EdC Results: In preparation for a gala/fundraiser that my wife and I are co-hosting, I used a very special blade for today's shave...Last night, in consultation with my beloved, we unanimously decided that this Pipe razor along with the Morris & Forndran brush, should be the tools for the job for today...This blade is one of seven restored and rescaled by Max...Thank you Max . They were all worth the wait. I for one, am proud to own and showcase this "Maxterpiece" (word of the day ) in today's SOTD. In fact, each day of this week will feature one of these "Maxterpieces". Needless to say, this razor delivered an astonishingly close and extremely comfortable and irritation free shave (of course, it was honed by Max). Now, on to helping my wife in the preparations for tonight. We have a lot on our plate.
