    1. Honing (BIG accomplishment...it gets better and addictive)
    2. Your new strop (The Bridle is a fabulous one)
    3. Participating in SRP and more specifically SOTD. We love having you here.
    4. That's a fine str8 you've got there. Looking forward to seeing others.
    Thank you, Robert
Someday I'll polish the str8 and give her a set of custom scales she deserves.
gssixgun's videos have been so helpful in my honing. I would never have progressed this far if it wasn't for my shave brothers sharing their information on the forums. It is a wonderful community that we belong to.

    Default TGIF! 2/25/11

That interview yesterday got me into the final cut! I Have to wait 2 weeks for the final round of interviews though. There should be a lot of good shaves between now and then.

    Pre-Shave: Hot Towel
    Brush: Vestavia 25mm Silver Tip
Razor: Boker Edelweiss 5/8 w/ bone scales
    Strop: SRD 3" Premium I - 30/50 fabric/leather
Lather: Pre de Provence soap w/ shea butter
    Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender)
After Shave: Nivea Sensitive w/ added lavender essential oil

Tried to go with a more "classic" style photo...

Thanks Robert. The flowers were actually my corsage that I wore. If you look closely, you will see that they are actually not real flowers. The wife did an excellent job on it as well as her bouquet constructing them both out of fabric and ribbon.

    Default Saturday morning

    Pre: Hot shower
    Brush: Shavemac D01
    Razor: Les tres Croix
    Soap: MWF
    AS: Prada
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean
Itīs a fact, I canīt stand MWF ... 4 inches wide rash on the chin and a major wood fire feeling when I aplied the AS. Razor was excellent though. No more lanolin for me, I guess

    Strop: Illinois 835
    Brush: Frank's Finest Badger
    Soap: Proraso (White)
    Razor: Simmon's Barber's Pet
    Ast: Thayer's Witch Hazel
    A/S: Old Spice
I gave the Barber's Pet 80 laps on the Thuringian today, surprisingly it seemed to make very little difference. I still cant quite figure this razor out, still a good shave though.
Hope you guys are enjoying the weekend

A simple, yet effective shave today. No fancy, high-end hardware or software, but I was left BBS smooth and ready to wrap up this week!
