Made for a great shave as the razor is really well balanced. Barely feels like you are holding it.
Congratulations Doug...that's one heck of a blade.

Sorry the Boker didn't float your boat Jim. I personally, find them to be amazing shavers. I don't know...maybe it's the edge

Holdfast wrote in a thread here in SRP:

"So if anyone is interested in an animal free brush.....feel free to check this one out. I know that everyone will take this post in the spirit in which it was intended, and NOT as an indictment on other wet shaving products. We all shave with what makes us happy!"

I got another synthetic bristle brush (by Muehle) this week in order to test it.
Look at the following collection and tell me which brushes have synthetic bristles!

I tested the new one with different soaps, it works like a Silvertip. It looks like a Silvertip. The feeling in your face is like a Silvertip. And it is a fast drying brush.
In the future the Muehle-factory will produce each kind of brushes also with the new bristles. Please take a look at their website and stay tuned.

    BTW:
    (from left to right)
    1. travel-brush (badger)
    2. Synthetic brush (of course as you can see)
    3. Silvertip
    4. Silvertip
    5. travel-brush (the new synthetic fibres)
    6. badger

I´m amazed that a 200 year old razor can compete and beat many of the "modern" vintage razors out there
