    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 28mm Shavemac 410
Razor: 5/8 C.V. Heljestrand "K&B Extra". 1/4 hollow, French point
    Strop: DOVO Cowshide
    Uberlather: Tabac+Maca Root+Glycerin
    Aftershave balm: Nivea
    Aftershave Splash: Old Spice
Results: Hell-Yeah-(Strand)! 3 pass smooth, no irritation, almost BBS shave.

I stropped the Helje about 250 rounds on newspaper and finished it on linen and leather(50 each). It was really smooth on the skin. Thanks for the tip Robert! Although it's evening I finish with Old Spice to please the girlfriend. Cheers!

    Default Thursday 3.3.11

New razor for your viewing pleasure.

    Pre-Shave: Shower
    Brush: Vestavia 25mm Silver Tip
Razor: G. Wostenholm & Son I-XL w/ brass lined ebony scales.
    Strop: No strop
Lather: Mama Bear's Sandalwood Rose soap, GFT Rose cream, glycerin
    Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender)
    After Shave: Nivea Replenishing
    Cologne Splash: Lavender

Made for a great shave as the razor is really well balanced. Barely feels like you are holding it.

I must say the Friodur is a work horse. Always delivers. Never a doubt!

I love how the color of the scales play with the color of the blade. That is gold washed or is that mirror finish?

Thank you. No gold wash. Its just catching the color of the scales. Its in between satin and mirror. The spine seems to be shinier than the blade. Awesome blade well worth owning. Never heard a bad thing about them.

+100 I have other Bokers in my lineup but the Red Injun 102 out runs them all. In fact, the only RAZOR that can run with it is the Texas Shumate. Then again, I may just have a soft spot for the Red Injun because it was my first str8...NAH...it's actually that good!
