The Beast came out today....
Mamabear Sandalwood Vanilla + Al's Bodega -- FS 24mm ST -- Louis and Mier -- Thayers -- Ogalla Bay Rum and Sandalwood
Picked up a great piece this weekend, a Louis and Mier "Manufactured for America". Today I decided to hone it up, and was rewarded with the hardest Sheffield steel I've had the pleasure of honing.
Sadly the razor is not yet ready to be photographed as a prominent subject, but it is definitely ready to deliver a killer shave... More of this monster when I get it cleaned up and scaled, I doubt you guys would approve of the current clothes on this one.
Shave on!

Mark,
I love this Kobar man. Nice scales too.
Thank you Mikael. Stand alone they did (and still do)
Thank you Mark.
We're not????!! Now you tell me.
Boooooootiful shot Fonti. I love that mug (and Fili). Nice gift.
It sure is Doug. I have been straight shaving for almost a year (end of this month or beginning next...can't remember exactly)
Fabulous shave Phil
Amazing shot José
That's a beautiful Puma Rum.
Thank you. There are no shortage of nice, luxury woods my friend and Rudy knows his wood and how to turn a handle. Highly recommended.
Jim,
make sure you don;t wake up floating in the river, LOL. Great shave maestro.
Thanks Rene
+1.
I see Gold everywhere. Stunning shot. That DORKO is just out of this world. Simply beautiful. Love the Coti too. What quarry did it come from?
Monroe,
Pulled the words right out of my mouth, LOL. Beautiful software combo and hardware
Excellent shot Frank. I love this composition.
Teiste,
Besides a wonderful shave and shot, I love the way you made the lavender color stand out. Very very nice
Glenn,
100% Agreed and nice story and analogy to your swimming experience. I hope you didn't take my post as directorial or anything. Just an opinion (a 2 cent one at that)
David,
You're teasing man, LOL...Can't wait to see her when she's ready for her cat walk.

Rene told us:
"Thank you! I have been thinking of myself more like a razor slut. Waking up every morning with a different blade. Not remembering the blade before. Oh the humanity!!!"
I think he has a problem with the spelling.
I think he mean "bride" not "blade".
I have no blade with me in my bed.

Thank you very much. BTW, thank you for always posting responses to pictures. I still think it was a bad move taking the thanks button out of the SOTD pages.
Its a vintage coticule, but some have thought that it is actually La Grosse Jaune. My first razor honed, the dorko, shaved like a dream.
