    Default Tuesday 3.08

    Pre-Shave: Shower
    Brush: Vestavia 25mm Silver Tip
Razor: Boker Edelweiss 5/8 w/ bone scales
    Strop: SRD 3" Premium I - 30/50 fabric/leather
Lather: SRD West Indies Bay soap, G.O. Bigelow/Proraso Cream, glycerin
    Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender)
    After Shave: Nivea Replenishing Balm

This was a great shave. The Proraso/bay rum scent combined nicely and made a rich lather. I'm really starting to get the right touch, no razor burn or nicks this shave and still nice and smooth.

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 28mm Shavemac 410
Razor: 6/8 DOVO Bismarck. full hollow, round point
    Strop: DOVO Cowshide
    Superlather: Tabac(soap+cream)
    Aftershave balm: Nivea Sensitive
Results: Super and awesomely clean(almost BBS) 2-pass shave!
Lesson learned: Let the razor do the work, don't use pressure(even less than before)

First off: Grant, congratulations on the good news!

I shaved myself last Sunday without a satisfactionary result, had some massive irritation on my neck. It was a hurried shave for my girlfriend was here(hence the lack of entry into the SotD). To stem my disappointment we went to town and enjoyed some nice Sunday shopping. I got myself Tabac cream(which smells more floral than the soap in my opinion, a very welcome improvement I did not miss before) and, since I had a giftcard from the Rituals, we went there.
After looking around an being disappointed by the smell of the shaving cream I bought Sandalwood + Patchouli Eau de Parfum. It's my first perfume and has a nice woody smell to it.
The me from a year ago would hate me for the gentleman I've become .

    Enjoy the week gentlemen!

Thanks Tom! After spending a winter in the Pacific Northwest, it will be nice to see some sunny warm weather and a warm Ocean for a change. LOL
