No shave today...Yesterday, the Filarmonica left with such a BBS feel, that I can pass without shaving today.

Very nice razor indeed Mikael. I heard that Sham puts on a killer edge on his blades.

    Grant,
Sorry to hear about the lather & slice. But, it happens my friend. Goes to remind us all (master & novice alike) that focus is an absolute must in this sport.

Thank you Glenn...I really love the handling of that brush. Have fun turning this lather. It has become something of a sensation apparently both here and on B&B. I have received quite a few PMs about it.

My condolences Jeff about the "stress" of mingling with politicians, but at least you had a nice shave.

This is, by far, the best news I heard all week long. CONGRATULATIONS Grant (and Jack).

Robert, thanks for checking the feasibility of the Birdseye Maple for the brush handle. I think it was one of Max's Scales that I saw this wood on and feel in love with it. Too bad that it won't work for the brush but I guess there is too much water absorption. I have a custom Rosewood brush and the wood on it is gorgeous. The African Blackwood would be great. If I remember correctly it's sort of like Ebony but with some visible grain. Choose well my friend and, we will be waiting to see another beautiful Rudy masterpiece.

    Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
    Blade: Schick Plus Platinum
Brush: Rooney Beehive in Two Band
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Wilkinson Shave Stick
A/S: Acca Kappa Cedar aftershave splash

An excellent shave. The Wilkinson Sticky and Schick Plus platinum blade continue to work their magic. I am 5 shaves in on this blade and it is still going strong. The Wilkinson Shave Stick was a pleasant surprise -it produces a rich creamy lather and has very good skin conditioning properties. My only complaint is that the scent is a bit stronger than I prefer but, it will no doubt fade as it sits uncovered. The Acca Kappa Cedar aftershave, another new purchase, was very nice. It has a subtle scent and left my face feeling great.

This will be my last post for about a week. I am going to Tampa Florida for a Shrine's International Seminar and I won't be able to post. It looks like I will be going back to the "Dark Ages" and using a Track2 Cartridge for a week (YUK!) I will be looking forward to having a great shave with one of my favs when I get back. Take care my Brothers and see you all when I get back. Until then....SHAVE ON!
