OK, worked on this for a while last night and I think I've finally got the edge on this figured out. Three passes was a pretty presentable shave perhaps just a bit more honing tonight just to make the edge a little crisper. But alas, I obsess; it's what we do here, right? The older I get, the better I was

Thanked: 1072Location: Coffs Harbour AustraliaThanks guys.
Brush: FS Finest Badger
Soap: MWF
Razor: Gillette DE? with Feather blade
Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel
A/S Balm: Nivea Replenishing Post Shave
A/S: Old Spice
This was the first run with this new DE. Did 2 passes on the head and 1 on the face before running out of lather, and it performed very well, I really like this one. I still haven't mastered the DE head shave yet, but I'm getting better.
Thanks for all the caring comments about Jacky's bone marrow test.
He still has 12 months of Chemotherapy to go, and I've seen enough kids relapse that I will probably never stop worrying, but this is a very, very good stage to be at. We are very fortunate.

1,000!!
A wonderful shave to commemorate my 1000th post. The members here are tremendous, and that is what brings me back every single day. Thank you SRP, for teaching, mentoring, and simply being there!

Prep:Hot Shower
Brush:TGN 20mm Silvertip Custom in Emerald Swirl
Strop:SRD PI Paddle Strop
Cream:TBS Macca Root
Razor: Dovo “Best Quality”
After shave: Pinaud Clubman & Nivia for Men
EDT: Drakar Noir
Result: Yesterday's shave was so smooth that today there was barely anything to shave off. I did 2 passes and really took my time this morning. What an enjoyable shave, not BBS, but very enjoyable. I seem to have a difficult time getting BBS the day following a BBS shave. Anyone else have that same issue?
Have a great Wednesday Gentlemen!

Congratulations on the 1k mark Bill! What a fine shave to commemorate it as well!
Grant, thank you for allowing us to care and be a small part of you and your families lives. I find it simply amazing that through SRP I have "met" so many amazing people from across the globe. Your openness in times of struggle is endearing and honorable. It brings a smile to my face each day to see your SOTD posts, especially knowing some of the backstory.
Cheers

This is a JNat to make very good slurry at the really flat other JNat.
I think we wrote enough about such "slurry stones".
Here you get the website, where I got it. You'll find a lot of information there:
JNS
At first:
you translated my and my wifes thoughts into English. All the best for "our" Jacky.
Second:
Congrats to Bill ...he posted his 1K
Third:
I think we are a big family here!
