    Good morning.

    Friday:

    Gillette : Wilkinson : Simpson : MWF : Floid : Henriksen : Hermes

Perfect match (scent-wise) between the moisturizer and the perfume. This is not to fool one though, as the Ole Henriksen cream feels a tad heavy, at least after first use.
The only addition to make the whole set more balanced scent-wise would be the EJ Sea Buckthorn shaving cream/soap and to replace the Italian Blue Floid with something else.

    An excellent shave, once again.

    Default German Steel Day

    Here comes the weekend!

This has been an amazing week, with tons of great shots and beautiful equipment.
Thanks to all of you for being so inspiring!!

After a lengthy session on the hones last night, this razor finally caved and ended up with a wonderfully smooth and sharp edge, so it just had to be the choice of this German day.
She has some patina and signs of neglect to her, but the steel is all good, and she will be cared for from now on.

    Prep: a quick shower
    Cream: Penhaligons Opus 1870
Brush: Plisson HMV #16, 2 band in horn
Razor: Edmund Bergfeld, Globusmen Gold #44
Strop: Kanayama Llama brand, #90000 tri strop.
    Astringent: Thayer's Med Sup Haz
    ASB: Penhaligons Opus 1870
    EdT: Penhaligons Opus 1870

last evenings Shave. I fell asleep before I posted. The time change kicks my ass.

    Hot shower
    Warm Oil
    Hannah Ceramic
    Badger brush
    AOS Lavender Shave Cream
Centaur Sperry and Alexander of New York
    AOS Aluminum
    Vaseline for men

I ran this razor through the progression from on the Norton stones,4K to 8K. Finished with a few laps on the Naniwa 12K. She was very sharp but coarse I think. The razor cut through the whiskers with no problem it just seemed to irritate my skin.
Don't know if it was me or the edge left by the 12K.

Great Friday shave, both errant razors have now redeemed themselves. Maybe it was an errant operator to begin with.

    Prep:Hot Shower
Brush:TGN 24mm Super Silvertip in Crimson Swirl
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Cream:Goodfellas Bomb
Razor: Henckles 401 (just finished the restoration last night, read about it here)
    After shave: Alt Innsbrook
    EDT: Cuba Red

Result: I've been working on this razor all week so I would have a Henckles for today. The shave was SWEET! 3 passes & BBS. I'm not going to lie, I'm very proud of myself on this one (especially the honing as she was dull as a spoon and now is wicked sharp)

The razors on display this week are STUNNING! :dropjaw

    Well done everyone :

    Glenn

    Default Friday

    Wow, well done Glenn!

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Shavemac D01 two band
    Razor: Henckels Friodur
    Soap and AS: Tabac
    Strops. Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean
Not only was everything German today (even my MWF scuttle ... hmm, the scales where made by Max though, but that´s a German name, lol), it was an excellent shave and excellent gear and LARGE aswell. That´s a 300 ml Tabac bottle and the brush has a 30 mm knot and even though the blade is huge too, it shaves me very well
