    Default US-steel

    Good morning friends!
As you know, I'm a poor boy and have no US-razors.

But I own other US-blades. Here you get the Recon Tanto by Cold Steel... an amazing combat-knive.

    My personal SOTD:
    soap: Calani- Cadre Noir-stick
brush: the new Muehle-travel-brush with new bristles
razor: S. Pearson & Co Sheffield
    AS: Brut

BTW: I never had a shave with this Tanto

I have US razor: HartSteel, but I don't shave today. I'm only honing.
...and I own others US-blades too. Here you can see some of them.

    Cheers,

    Barbasol Razor (drives like a 52 Caddy)/
Gillette Super Stainless (They don’t make em like they use to)/
Old Spice mug with Arko (sorry no Williams)/
Turkish Horsehair Brush ( Not US, but a darn Cool brush)/
Aqua Velva in an Avon decanter (I hate the new plastic bottles.)/

I thought about using a US straight, but to me the Barbasol is a fine example of a US razor. This thing is Big, heavy and aggressive, It’s not very nimble and requires a gentle touch. The Vintage Gillette Super Stainless blades are my favorite blades, but my stock is running low. Luckily with hand stropping , I can usually get around 10+ shaves out of one.. It was a total BBS 4 star shave. A little on the aggressive side, the AV felt like fireworks on the 4th of July.

Great Pictures as always, and have a great US Steel shave.

Default yippee ki yay, it's American today!

    American day today!
I got up real early and had a bit of a struggle selecting the right tool for this mornings shave.
I finally settled on this one, I admit, it is a one of a kind, but hey, still American
(and I wanted an opportunity to show it off, I think it is a really beautiful blade)

    Prep: Hot shower
    Soap: DR Harris Arlington
    Strop: MickR's 'Roo strop
Brush: Simpson Persian Jar 2, 22mm Silvertip. My very first!
Razor: Joe Chandler 8/8 Spanish point.
    Astringent: Thayers Medicated SuperHazel
    ASB: DR Harris Arlington
    EdT: DR Harris Arlington

    Default Thursday morning

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson PJ 3
    Razor Red Imp
Soap and AS/cologne: Pro Bilghty´s Grapewood
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very clean
The good ol professors stuff looks like wild west gear to me and you can see the Red Imps holster too - American shave today and ZZ Top as soundtrack (worked perfect as stropping music) . Close and very nice shave and Martins stuff smells wonderfull. I got a couple of tiny nicks, but that didn´t bother me much.

Well Tom, we are going to just have to send you one since I shave all the time with German razors.
