A very elegant Peurox. Love the scales. And of course, your salamander is always there enjoying the site, LOL. He's become quite the mascot for all your shaves

You have quite a keen eye Tom...It took me some time to see it. Thank you

Simple as a hammer but the razor was indescribably keen a went through my stubble like butter. British Sterling being another of my Dad's go-to scents, a raise my coffee cup and say, here's to ya Pop. Funny how a smell can bring back so many memories.
Beautiful Helje. And allow me to join you in saluting your dad. Well done

One more thing, for those of you who know ivory. Do these scales look like they might be made from ivory?
Nice razor Grant. You should have borrowed lather from Glenn, His Double Scuttle has enough for the whole forum, LOL

BTW: The scales definitely look like ivory...to me, at least

Julie @ Dirty Bird Pottery (she's fantastic to deal with by the way) warned me before I got it, yet I knew that I wanted this beast after reading all the positive reviews of it. I must say that it is so nice to not be making a constant "klink, klink, klink" sound when whipping up lather anymore (especially @ 5am where I run the risk of awaking my 2 year old). It holds its heat very well and overall I'm just amazed with this thing!
We're all coming over for a Hot Tub party later on, LOL...actually, you can hold lather wrestling in there too (only if we can find a couple of "hotties", LOL). Glad you like and enjoy yours. It is a great piece of art. +1 on Julie. She messed up the first prototype on mine with regards to the depth, but went ahead and redid it to my specs.

That is the torture part, i.e., the waiting game. By far, the ONLY downside of wetshaving, LOL.

No Robert, it's my birthday present: a Theirs Issard that I bought in Paris at planète rasoir over spring break. I also will be showing off a new Plissant brush and (at LegalBeagle's sage advice) some Martin de Candre shave cream.

Post Week of March 27 SOTD - Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 24mm Morris & Forndran, 2-band, Blonde Badger
Razor: 6/8" Wacker "Wickinger", Near Wedge, French Point (Cherry Wood Scales)
Strop: 55/65 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Floris №89 Shave Creme + Floris №89 Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Irish Moos AS Splash
    Cologne: Creed "Original Vetiver" EdC
Results: What an awesome shave with this near wedge . Her keen edge was unforgivably whacking the 24 hr whiskers, like yesterday's old news. The Floris über produced a rich lather worthy of every moment of this fabulous shave. The only regret I have is that it is over .

Have a PHENOMENAL Friday gentlemen .

Greg: Can't wait to see your TI. MdC is an amazing. You will like it. Was Paris business or pleasure or both?

    Post A Major decision

    Hi guys,
Sorry this is a bit off topic, but due to some unforeseen circumstances and having consulted my wife, I have decided to sell ALL of my shaving gear and leave the world of straight shaving . Anyone interested in buying stuff at bargain prices, just let me know. Everything is negotiable
