Most of my shaves tend to be beautiful in their simplicity. This one however was beautiful in its complexity. The results however were remarkable and I emerged from the Shave Cave feeling like a Wall Street Banker after his $50 Barber Shop Shave. You know the difference between us and them? We can do this whenever we want and it doesn't cost us $50. Have a Great Friday, everyone!

Mikael, the shave looks great, but I'm completely taken with that bowl. What is it made of?

8/8 Geber Weyerberg | Martin de Candre | Semogue 2010 LE | Cade ASB | ELDO Eloge du Traitre

Yesterday Max commented on a Weyerberg in the SOTD, and it had me really excited about today's shave. I finished honing this blade for Rene after he recently rescaled it in cocobolo, and couldn't wait to give it a test shave today. The edge was one of the smoothest I've gotten; sadly, it wasn't as sharp as I think it should be. So, I'll take it back to the stones this weekend to tweak it a bit before sadly sending it back to its true owner...

Today is the match between USA and Slovakia.
The Consul General of the United States invited us. We take Stars and Stripes with us.
I hope it is allowed to take some pictures.
    Stay tuned.
