Ever shave with a new razor and wonder when was the last time this razor was used for shaving? F.A. Clauberg was in business from 1885-1926 so if this were the last razor made by the company it is still 85 years old. That of course leaves open lots of ground. Was it used 6 months ago or put away in the early 60's when grandpa passed away? Or maybe it hasn't been shaved with for longer, maybe it belonged to some guy who was killed in WWII. The razor was shipped home in his personal effects and his widow held onto it until she passed away recently. I'm sure each one of these old razors has a story. Wouldn't it be great if just briefly they could talk and tell us where they have been, who they belonged to, when they were last used, etc?

I honed this up last night. Finished up after midnight. So i couldnt wait to try it so i did one pass last night. WOW! Super close.Not much left after the first pass but i wanted to shave again. I took out Trumper Eucris and TOBS St James. What a fantasic scent.

After I had restored/rescaled this blade last week and couldn't wait to hone her up and test shave. I love Henckels and this one is no exception, effortless and 1 pass later I am super smooth, but why do just one pass? So I took my time and did a XTG and ATG , no irritation and feeling good for today.

Rolls razor/Arko SC with a pinch of menthol crystals/Turkish Horsehair #5/Masters Bay rum with added menthol/ Ogallala Bay Rum special reserve in an Avon decanter

Not much stubble today as my shave with the ADELENE yesterday was very close. But the rolls knocked them down with ease in two passes. The Brush #5 from Bestshave is very soft, I think I may have got the last one . Let me just add this horsehair is every bit as soft as a Vie-long. A great BBS shave this easter.
