    Thumbs up

    ***HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE***

No shave for me today...Sporting what I call the "Bunny Whiskers" for our family get together today (after a BIG feast last night).

I wished that they have something similar to a Dubl Duck razor for a day like today...They could call it the "Wubl Wabbit", LOL. It would have been very fitting.

Wowwwww Max. Check that Genco and her Gold wash out. What a nice blade. Glad you and John had a good time.

What a beautiful view Tom. Nice shot. Looks like you and Anett had a wonderful visit. I remember my visit to Dresden and the Bastei bridge overlooking the Elbe. What a beautiful and serene area.

Holy Cow Birnando...That is a fine looking Globusmen. A fine blade like that shouldn't be neglected. Nice going with this shave.

This was my first razor, which has just undergone an overhaul. I gave it new scales and hand sanded the blade. On Friday night I honed it from bevel set up to a Coticule then Thuringian.
Quite probably the best edge I have ever achieved.
Beautiful shot with a beautifully restored blade. Nice job Grant. And congrats on achieving your best edge yet

What an awesome shave Rene. Sounds like the Eucris is a great soap with an awesome scent. You need a creme that makes your whiskers grow faster, LOL. I gotta go see what we have in the lab.

Gooood Morning SRP! Went for one of my Russians today, somebody had posted about them earlier in the week. The lower one is NOS aquisistion. It will take several hours to hone correctly later this evening.
Gooooooood morning to you Mike. What a beautiful set of blades. Never owned a Russian, but I hear the right ones can give you fabulous shaves. Congrats and good luck honing the NOS one this PM.

PS: That is an interesting "Spinal Tap" in the background.

After I had restored/rescaled this blade last week and couldn't wait to hone her up and test shave.
Not bad Matt. From what I hear, that material is not easy to work with (lots and lots and lots of patiently sanding).

I have often thought the same thing GI. If these vintage razors could talk I'm sure they would have some fascinating stories to tell. That is why I love the vintage razors, using them keeps them alive and the spirit in them alive as well. There is nothing better than a link to the past and the lives of others who have preceded us.

Default Another good shave this Easter morning

Had another early start this morning. My kit for today:
    1. 6/8 razor form ebay
    2. eShave badger brush
    3. Taylor of Old Bond Street Rose Shaving Cream
    4. Nivea Face wash
    5. Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel
    6. Nivea Replenisher Post Shave Balm
    7. Ogallala Bay Rum

It's still rainy and cool here in Rochester but a good shave starts the day out right.
