I don't think he was happy:
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

i just got the razor a few days ago and its not incredibly sharp. it is sufficient for a first pass
Congratulations...I am sure after a quick visit to the hones, this Krusius will perform as she is destined to do

    Birnando,
Beautiful Engels. Interesting regimen. I would have never guessed going from the Escher to the Norton would be possible, I thought that the Escher was a finer stone than the Norton. But Sham knows his stones.

I love the Manaslu too. Top performer. I am surprised you had to take her to the hones (starting from 1k) so soon.

You guys are just mean, LOL...using other peoples' pets as gear for shaving. Where are the animal rights activists when you need them, LOL?

Thumbs up Week of May 1 SOTD - Friday

A Swedish (almost) affair to Remember
(This shave is for your cat Mikael )

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush (Rudy Vey): 26mm w/TGN Silvertip Badger, Kingwood handle
Razor: 6/8" Heljestrand "Royal Kindal", Full Hollow Ground, Round Point (Faux Ivory scales)
Strop: 45/60 laps (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: CarrieM "Bay Rum" Shave Creme + Ogallala "Bay Rum/Sweet Orange" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Ogallala "Bay Rum" AS Splash
Cologne: Ogallala "Bay Rum" EdC (Double Strength)
Results: I really love the shave from this Royal Kindal. I haven't seen another Royal Kindal..She must be a rare breed (not sure ). Whatever the case may be, she's one of, if not THE best Helje I have in my collection. She holds an extra sharp yet ultra smooth edge. Just the way I like it . The RV Brush whipped up one heck of an extra thick and moist überlather from the CarrieM/Ogallala mix. I have heard of reports that people don't like the lather with Ogallala because it resembles cottage cheese. I cannot corroborate this. In fact, my experience is the opposite. I must say though that this soap does require a lot of water before she opens up and reveals her true form. But, once there, it's heavenly!!!! The Ogallala finish (AS/EdC) was also divine. Another BBS, smooth and irritation free shave.

I wanted to touch her up before sending her to Rene, but couldn't remember if I used tape before. (That's why I now have a book with honing notes)

We're not the mean ones, talk to Mikael. He's the one shaving that cute kitten!

Clearly you must be talking about Bela and Robert. I don't qualify as a high-salaried people!

As a member of "The Buddel Razor Club" you must be necessarily a high-salaried fellow!
