Grant, I got the strop from MickR back in October. The Penn State Ice Cream would blow your mind.

I love the worked spines on the Thiers Issards. Thinking about purchasing a brand new one. Expensive, I know. But a beauty to look at and use I'm sure.

How is the Rooney, and what do you think of the Antiheros?
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

    Bill,

The Rooney is a great little brush. Perfect for face lathering. Not as much backbone as I expected given the reviews on this brush, but still very good. It has more of a fan shape which is different for me.

The Antiheros is all lavender. It is a nice, masculine lavender scent, but it is straight lavender with not much depth. I do like it though.

Thursday 5-5-2011 10 year Wedding Anniversary
    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Custom Double
    Brush: H.L. Thater 23mm
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
Uberlather:SRD Lime Soap, Calypso Bomb, 5 drops glycerin
Razor: Dubl Duck Wonderedge (freshly touched up on Y/G Escher)
After shave: Ogallala Limes & Peppercorns
    EDT:Polo

Result:I touched up the DD on the Y/G Escher and was rewarded with a buttery smooth edge that resulted in an amazing shave. The Lime soap mixed with the Bayrum scented Calypso, followed by the Ogallala Limes & Peppercorns was a tremendous combination. My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary and spent a very enjoyable day @ Grants Farm with our little girl. We'll go out on the town this weekend.

    Friday 5/6/2011

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird Custom Double
Brush: TGN 24mm in Crimson swirl
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
Uberlather: TGQ Cavendish Black soap, St. Charles Shave unscented cream, 5 drops glycerin.
    Razor: Dovo “Best Quality”
After shave: Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood
    EDT:Polo Blue

Result:Today we took our daughter to the zoo. I didn't realize how far along the wife and daughter were in getting ready and was told that I didn't have time to do a complete shave. The Dovo performed effortlessly and I was able to do a >10 minute 2 pass shave. She may not look like much, but she sure performs.

    Have a great weekend gentlemen!

Great job on the display case Grant! You've got to post pics when there filled up and on display.

I really enjoyed today's shave. The CS always performs well and the Genco was amazing. After the shave I let the hot towel sit on my face for a short time.
I can feel the smile on your face in this post Jeff! Glad to hear that your daughter is coming home and that the shave was amazing.

Excellent shot Birnando! I really like that Alex Jacques custom you have. In regards to the Shoubudani Asagi, have you tried finishing on it dry yet? I picked one up from Maxim @ JNS a little over a month ago and I'm still experimenting with it. I'd love to hear what has and hasn't worked for you.

Thanks! I took a few days off from the office and we did some day trips with our daughter. Saturday we will have my parents watch my daughter for the day and we are going to go have some fun, nothing big planned, just the pleasure of each others company.

I know I missed commenting on some posts, but I've got to go to bed. Let me just say this

Thanks Gentlemen for all the great posts and pics!
