Thanked: 33Merkur VISION/Perma-Sharp Blade/Simms Vintage overstuffed silvertip/ Franks Finest/MWF/Clubman Special Reserve
Tried my hand with MWF and my Silvertip. I tried to build up some rich creamy lather on the old cranium, but the silvertip and MWF left me hanging. My hand cramped and my arm got sore, it just wasn't happening. So I cheated and used a little dab of Arko cream and got some uber Lather. The Head shave with the Vision was extraordinary though. On to the face I decided not to use my never fail #6, and opted for a Franks Finest, it's soft but offered a little more backbone than my Big silvertip does. Worked out OK, took a little longer to build than Normal but, still it got there. All in all a Fantastic BBS all over shave. Finished with Special Reserve, and now I'm ready for a nice night out with the wife.Great shaves today, Gentlemen.

MWF Hand Soap,
GFT Limes SS,
New Forest 2203,
Merkur 33c/Feather(1),
Razorock Alum,
GFT Limes SF,
Davidoff Cool Water EdT.
I remembered this morning with very little time to spare that I had a dentists appointment!
Que a scramble to crack open a new feather. A quick corking and my trusty Merkur was soon loaded and ready for action!
Two scary quick passes and one very close shave. (In all senses!)
The shave was rushed but enjoyable.............The dentists was neither rushed or enjoyable!!

No sorry Robert he only made a handful of the 2203s! Yes Peter certainly knows his brushes and I don't care what they say about him at another forum I found him to be a perfect Gent!
The cedarwood & Clarysage has real staying power which is strange. Usually I find the lingering factor of a scent is inversely proportionate to how much I like it!

Forget the shave Tom...I look forward to your vacation pictures more than your SOTD, LOL. I love this vacation of yours. I feel like I am there. Thanks for sharing buddy. I live vicariously through you. Why would I need to take a vacation now, LOL??
HC,
Sorry about the nicks, but I guess one can say that they are the price one pays to experience nirvana. So, pay the piper my friend because the return on this investment is truly rewarding.
Rum,
That is perfect indeed. Arlington and Le Grelot are two of the best in their category. Well done
Doubly fantastic Teiste. It's like winning the Lotto twice.
Fan-Freaking-Tastic Mark. Love the tulip touch too.
Excellent hard and software Matt. beautifully done.
PS: Thanks for the kind words
Hey David,
Lathering with MWF may get a little tricky. Water quality does play a role, although I've tried hard water too and it works. But what I do (even with my densest of brushes), is load the brush twice. First load then transfer to bowl, reload and make the lather. MWF also tends to get thick, making arms tired so play with the amount of water. Trust me, once you get this soap to work for you, it's effortless and the voluminous lather well worth the trouble.
Yikes Oscar!!!!!! That is scary. Hope the dentist didn't drill too deep, LOL
I see Oscar. Thank you for the info. I don't know what is being said about Peter, but my dealings with him have been nothing but enjoyable and fantastic. That's funny about the scent, LOL. I know what you mean though.
Now, I am willing to bet that this combination resulted in some amazing lather.
Beautiful Frank

Wednesday morning
I'm impatiently awaiting a few new customs, so this week I am going all customs to ease the wait a bit
Pre-Shave: a relaxing morning shave Brush: D.R.Harris(Rooney) Silvertip badger, 26mm Razor: Tim Zowada Damascus Custom, 5/8 straight point. Strop: C-Mon Vel-Edge vintage Cordovan Shell Soap/Cream: Truefitt&Hill, 1805 shaving cream Astringent: Thayers Medicated SuperHazel After shave Balm: Truefitt&Hill, 1805 EdT: Truefitt&Hill, 1805 Results: A Custom a day, keeps the whiskers away. This little TZ does fine work, fine work indeed. After a few initial honing problems, my TZ's are now amongst my very best shavers. Keen and sharp!! This is a lot smaller than my usual preference in razors, but for some reason, I just love it. The results of the shave is grand.
