Simpson Eagle / TGN Super UK knot,

The Bismark is not as sharp as it should be! I got myself a King 1000/6000 but my honing skills are not up to speed.

Wrong, Mamma was was feeding the baby. So after drying and getting Jacky dressed for bed, my 6 year old daughter was calling me to come and tuck her into bed, and you cant rush these things. Then it was time for Jack's Chemo.....20 minutes after getting out of the shower, everything's cold, the mood is gone.
So, no shave for me tonight. At least the Crown & Sword is stropped and ready to go tomorrow night.
    Good thing I love 'em
As always, thanks for all the great posts guys

Enjoy the time with your kids. They grow up all too fast. I am glad I was a helicopter father, always hovering around my kids. I think I still am....LOL

    Default Fleet Week Shave

Today was the start of Fleet Week in NYC. Luckily I was assigned to a detail where I was able to get a few nice photographs. The one I was anxious to get was the USS New York. The bow of the USS New York was made with 7.5 tons of steel from the fallen World Trade Towers. It was wonderful to see her cruise up the Hudson River with NYC in the back ground.

    Tonight's shave:
Hot shower with Stephan's shave cream rubbed into the whiskers
    Warm Oil
    Dirty bird Scuttle
    Badger Brush
    Shave cream provided by Rene
Wade and Butcher Barbers Notch, Hollow Ground
SRD 50 Laps felt 60 Laps
    AOS Aluminum
    Old Spice
    Vaseline for men

    Prep:Hot Shower, Sandalwood & Vanilla Pre-shave oil
    Scuttle:Dirty Bird Custom Double
Brush:TGN 24mm Silvertip Custom in Cherry
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Soap:MDC
    Razor: Wade & Butcher
    After shave: Alt-Innsbrook
    EDT: NOIR

Result: After trying the MDC (thanks again Bill), I ordered some. It came in yesterday and I decided to lather it up today. A luxurious 2 pass shave and I was in heaven. I got side tracked and forgot to post my SOTD this morning. Lots of Tornado warnings today, we've been fortunate to avoid any major damage thus far.

    Excellent shaves everyone :

Wowwww Jeff. I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing. That must have been a sight to behold. Great shave too.

Q: I see the Maxtom logo, but don't see the razor. Did you receive it?

    Glenn,
Being in Heaven is not where you want to be when there are tornado warnings around, LOL. Not a good opening/closing, LOOOOOL. Glad things are kind of stable weather-wise. Great shave with a great soap + razor. Be safe brother. How's the little one dealing with all the commotions outside?

Late night shave. I couldnt wait to take the Dovo out. With this 8/8 beast She sent fear into the stubble and they went running. I was rewarded with an amazing shave. The CF Lime with Eucris the lather was fantastic. Now i just need my stubble to grow faster so i can shave more often.
