    Default Thursday morning

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Shavemac D01
    Razor: Klas Törnblom X
    Soap: Provence Sante
    AS: Blue Floid
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

The other brush in the pic is an old Swedish NOS brush, it´s warranted to be a "digging swine", wich in old Swedish could be a badger (it´s not in this case though), but also a Vole, a Porcupine or a Wolverine Razor is a NOS Törnblom blade in custom Ebony scales with MOP inlays, made by Neil Miller (I love these scales!).

    Default Thursday morning

    Pre-Shave: Warm Shower
    Brush: H.L.Thäter 25mm Silver tip
Razor: Tim Zovada, 7/8 Damascus steel, Spanish Point.
    Strop: Kanayama #90000, tri-strop
    Soap/Cream: Domenico Caraceni 1913
    Astringent: Thayers Medicated SuperHazel
After shave Balm: MdC, Chopra Oil
    EdT: Domenico Caraceni 1913
Results: Brilliant. The Domenico Caraceni is an awesome cream. Paired with the big and soft Thäter it makes for some really spectacular lather. Zowada's are true shavers. All I could ever ask for in a custom. Or any straight really.

5/8 De Lorme "Charleston" in Black Palm | La Toja Manantiales | Shavemac Silvertip | CarrieM ASM | Heeley Cuir Pleine Fleur

This little razor just came home to me after Rene was kind enough to take it out of its undersized scales (the old ones were too short, preventing it from closing) and giving it a new life in these beautifully grained black palm creations he made. He did an outstanding job on the scales, and it looks like a totally different razor.

The La Toja gives a great lather, and the edge Rene put on this blade worked a dandy! I did three passes, plus touch ups and I'm as smooth as the day I was born! Thank you for all you did on this beauty, Rene. You'd never guess she was a $10 eBay special!

    Excellent shaves this week, gentlemen!

Prep: Hot Shower, Razor: Imperial Extra Hollow Ground, Brush: Omega Boar, Soap:VDH Deluxe, AS: Nivea ASB, Skin Bracer, Finish: Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

Did some hone work this morning. The Noonan still needs work but the edge on this one was absolutely incredible after only a quick touch up. Three pass Hollywood shave with a full line up of drug store gear. Outstanding!
The older I get, the better I was

Thanks Robert. She is doing great (my wife and I are surprised). She likes to look out the window and provide commentary about what is happening. Ex. "The wind blowing, the trees go swish, swish, swish (makes a rapid back and forth movement with her hands and whole body)."

She calls hail "snow"...and when it thunders she just says "that's dunder, it make a loud noise."

    Love that kid!

Same here. I didnt know Dovo made them this big. I believe there older. Talking to Robert, he told me MAX gave them high praise. Up there with a FIli. For max to comment on something it must be good.

The stone is a chinese 12k. when i used water or a slurry stone on it i didnt like the edges. SO I have been doing a Nagura progression on it. Not to pure water and i have been getting consistant results. Very sharp edges. Zero irritation. Not as buttery as a Jnat, But my goal was cost effevtive way to get the best edge. I then use crox. Im trying to find the number of laps to get the buttery edge.
