Thanked: 983I called yesterdays shave "Invoking bad Karma"...Here is the photo followed on by the karmic effect photo of todays shave...
This is the follow up bad karma shot.
It was just one of those thing, I just had to tempt fate and try a shower shave with a cart head and some body soap like I used to do. Needless to say, I didn't feel like I had had a shave within two hours. And todays stubble felt like two days growth now that I know what a decent shave feels like and how long it lasts. Ah well, Guess I just have a spot to avoid for a while before getting back into it good and proper having hopefully learnt my lesson. For the sake of good taste, I left out the most bloodied bits of tissue paper. It looked like I had cut my throat with the amount of blood that mixed in with the water and lather on my face to spread down the side of my neck.

Saturday
A slow and relaxed Saturday with nothing planned. A comfortable shave is a fine start to such a day!
Pre-Shave: Warm shower Brush: Rooney's Finest 25mm Razor: Devin Custom, Feather Damascus, Mammoth bone scales, French point Honing Regimen: This one was a bit tricky to get to my preferred state. After a couple of hours of trying different things, I settled for a very light stroke throughout the entire progression on my Choseras. Finished it off on a Shoubudani with slurry, then dilution to clear water. Strop: C-Mon Vel-Edge, Vintage Cordovan Soap/Cream: Penhaligon's Opus 1870 Astringent: Thayer's Medicated SuperHazel After shave Balm: Penhaligon's Opus 1870 EdT: Penhaligon's Opus 1870 Results: A fine relaxing shave. This blade was rather low on feedback, but I soon got the feel for it and then it shaved smoothly.

Tomorrow our last station in Tel Aviv.
The hotel is nearby the Mediterranian Sea.
We can stroll to Jaffa at the beach in 25 minutes.
Israel is a beautiful country with friendly people.
Here my personal SOTD:

I'll be posting my Shave later this AM, after my hike/Yoga.
Thanks Mikael, but it happens and I certainly didn't need another, although it was a nice size and would have made a great Maxterpiece (after a fabulous rescale).
Beautiful English "unknown" razor. Rumor has it that Kelly makes pretty nice strops.
Mick,
All I can say is ouuuchhhh. Heal fast brother.
Mikael,
That is one beautiful Chubby man. A Monster in her own right. Love that Helje SE. But, hide it from Mark's (Blugill) view...If he sees it, he's gonna want it, LOOOOOL
Thank you for the picture of this gorgeous blade KING. Very nice indeed. Enjoy her in good health my friend.
Yeap...now I am convinced that my hunch was right. You and Bill are going for a matching custom's collection, LOL. May God have mercy on the rest of our souls.
Max: you better change the title of this thread to Custom of the Day (COTD), LOOOOOOL
What a nice vacation Tom. Nice serene "after the rain" shot.
Very nice blade GI. Goes to say that it doesn't need to be fancy to get the job done.
Oh no Tom....Is the vacation almost over already? I am not ready to go home just yet
Great SOTD though
