The new venture is working out really good, its a lot of bust ass work, cause the quicker we get them windows in, we can hunt down more work ! We had some severe weather roll thru here Tuesday with hail as big as softballs in places. We've been handing out fliers and picking up some repair work from those storms. It ain't gonna be real easy at first, but in about a year or so we both should be sittin pretty well, just takes time !
I still like to post daily, but now I just can't sit around the puter and chat at will like before. These two razors are runnin pretty much on even keel, but I might give a slight edge to the Wester, but then I've used it a bit more too. Thanks buddy and have a good eve/night

Good morning.
Filarmonica 13 : Semogue Owners Club : Penhaligons English Fern : Brut after shave : L'Erbolario balsamo
My fifth complete straight razor shave, and the first one with this Filarmonica.
You can tell from the choice of razor this morning that we were inevitably going to have a visit by 'Mr. Nick'. Common sense and advice from experienced shavers dictate that this type is "...not recommended for beginners..." But of course the undersigned is not really bothered with such ...details.
So I went ahead and ended up with a close shave, 4 nicks and redness in the usual half side of the neck. Face hurts a bit, but we're ok.
A precise instrument, this beauty is. Did an excellent touch up job in both upper lip sides. With experience, this razor will do magic.

Friday 27/5
Here comes the weekend!!
I wish all of you the very best for it
Pre-Shave: Warm Shower Brush: Shavemac D01 2-band SIlvertip Razor: Charlie Lewis Custom, Spike point, Mammoth Ivory scales. Head Shaver: Feather All Stainless Strop: SRD Premium IV, English Bridle. E.L. 3" Soap/Cream:DR Harris Arlington Astringent: Alum Osma After shave Balm: DR Harris Arlington EdT: DR Harris Arlington Results: Another fine shave. Arlington has been a long time favorite. Good quality products, with a lovely scent. The Shavemac is by far my most dense brush, it goes medieval on any soap regardless of how hard they are Todays head shave was done with a Feather DE. This razor is rather on the mild side. I like it!

Thanked: 1185Prep: Hot Shower, Baby Oil Gel
Razor: T Noonan Arabic
Brush: VDH Boar
Soap: Williams
AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Finish: Crusellas Kolonia 1800 Vetiver
Result: A very clean, crisp shave, I think I've got the edge on this razor sorted out as it effortlessly removed what little stubble I had following an outstanding shave yesterday. Tried using the baby oil gel to retain some moisture on my face. While it did slow the drying out a little, I think it's just the nature of the beast that Williams doesn't have much linger time. That said, it did go quite well with the Kolonia 1800 Vetiver (both have a lemony, citrusy thing happening.)

Pre-Shave: Warm Shower w/ Conditioner in Beard Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 (2-Band) Razor: Robert Williams Custom, 7/8 Barber's Notch Strop: Kanayama Soap/Cream:Cade After shave: Habit Rouge (Vintage) EdP: Habit Rouge EdP Results: An outstanding shave. I just got this fine piece of custom workmanship from another member. It is a beauty to look at and it shaves the part. The Chubby whipped up an incredible lather and the RW wiped it clean. I'm BBS like you wouldn't believe and ready to head to court. What a way to wrap up the work week. You gentlemen are the best!
