An excellent Saturday Shave. I initially hated the Gillette Black blades, but came to realize that they just needed a great lather. In my Parker 98R, one wrong move and you're bleeding all over the place, but I wouldn't change it for the world. An interesting sidebar though is that the Parker 98R and the Gillette Black blades are both made in India. If you like heavyweight razors, I highly recommend this one. It's agressive and heavy and damn good for a coarse beard like mine. My next shave will be the 98R with Feather blades.

Coooooooool
What a nice shot Teiste and an even better gear
David,
What a nice sentimental piece of steel. Enjoy her and congratulations.
PS: Can't wait for the official inauguration
Thank you Paul...Hmmm, can't imagine why I would call you Sten (I must have "wrongly" read it in a post somewhere). My humblest apologies
Fantastic Monroe. This must be Arnold's brother, the "Beard Terminator". I am sure he will also be back, LOL
Beautiful composition and colors José
Thank you my friend
beautiful tribute Julian. Mark loved his 1912 (and all other things SE). He would have appreciated this.
Julian,
Wapis don't get their moment in the spotlight as much as they should. They are amazing shavers. Well done
Welcome to SOTD (and SRP) and +1 to the lather comment. It's the greater part of a great shave. Well done.

Result: So I've been off on vacation all week and doing lots of projects and running errands. I've only had 2 shaves all week (the one I'm posting now being #2). I wanted to post this one on Thursday when it actually happened, but our telephone company had a card of some sort go out in the neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon and it just got fixed yesterday. Anyway, I chose this blade to use in memory of Mark and his fondness of American steel. I think that in my mind, anytime I shave with good old American steel, I'll be thinking of him.
Rest in peace brother. We miss you!
Glenn
