    Gerrit,
It's great to have you post on SOTD, albeit on a sad occasion. Mark would love that Waterville indeed.

    Julian,
I certainly cannot find any faults with this razor, LOOOOL. Great shave and looking forward to your tributary shave tomorrow

Here's another one in his honor!
Razor: Robert Williams 8/8" Custom. MOP scales, Spanish point
Honing Regimen: 1-5-10K Chosera, Escher Y/G, 40 superlight strokes on a Oozuku Asagi.
Results: I dare say this qualifies as smooth as a Catfish's belly
Beautiful RW Birnando...Love the mirror touch in the photo. Great honing regimen too. One of these days, I will have to try the Chosera series.

    Oscar,
It's been some time since I've had a whiff of this stuff, but the memory is still fresh. Great smelling AS

Once again my thoughts are with his family and to those of you who were particularly close to Mark.
    Grant,
Beautiful GEM, especially that it's a heirloom. CBS should be the new word for BBS (new and improved). Great shave (despite the less than ideal result). Well done mate

    Titivillus,
That is one beautiful W&B. Great job on the cleanup

Post Week of June 5 SOTD - Thursday

This one is also for you Mark

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 24mm Custom Shavemac D01, 2-band Silvertip Badger
Razor: 8/8" Puma №18, Full Hollow Ground, Round Point
Strop: 5/40 laps (Neil Miller linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Haslinger "Honig" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
    After Shave Splash: TABAC AS
    Cologne: TABAC EdC
Results: Today is an all-German shave. I recently snatched this very rare Puma from eBay, from none other than Ivan (aka, Gugi). Sure, it cost me an arm and a leg, but I was on a prowl for one this size and in this condition. Knowing that the seller was a respected member of SRP was the biggest bonus and reassured me that I was getting exactly what was advertized to me (Thank you Ivan . You are a gentleman and a true scholar). This razor is absolutely amazing, both look and performance-wise. Ivan put an outstanding edge on this beauty. The Haslinger shave soap was a first (got it from Bernd a while back, but hadn't used it)...so today was a good day to break her out of her wrapping and give it a tickle with the tips of the Shavemac. Woooowwww !!!! What a SUPERB treat. To call it Perfect would an understatement. All the pieces fell into their rightful places and the planets were perfectly aligned as this shave evolved into a truly Divine experience (I wonder if Mark's spirit had anything to do with it...this one's for you my brother).

Have an EXTRAORDINARY Thursday gentlemen .

I had posted yesterday's shave before I read about Mark/blugills sudden passing, so I dedicate today's shave in his honor.

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Frank Shaving Finest Badger
    Soap: Erasmic Shave Cream
Razor: Wostenholm & Sons frameback, 5/8. Unusual frame, all brass.
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
    After Shave Splash: Vetiver blend.
Notes: 2-pass catfish belly smooth. Not my prettiest razor, it's seen a few battles in it's time. It is, however, a very smooth shaver.

Robert, arms and legs are nothing in comparison to that puma. You better hide that thing next time I'm over at your place... great shot and great kit man

Razor: Genco Safedge(minus the safety guard)
    Pre-shave: Noxzema
    Brush: Unknown boar
    Soap: Williams Mug Soap
AS: Thayers Lavender and Brut Attitude
Result: Not much to shave after yesterdays BBS from the Gem. Only needed one pass and some tough up to keep the BBS going. One of these days I'll find the missing guard for this Genco and use it he way it was intended.
