    Nic,
Sorry to hear about Sarah...cancer knows no bounds. Nasty disease. 46 is way too young. Life's cruel joke on us all, but may she rest in peace my friend. My thoughts are with you on this grueling 10 hr training. I am sure your strength will persevere.

PS: Great shave with that JE btw and keep at the honing. Sounds like a few more laps here and there and this blade will give you one of the smoothest shaves you've experienced to date. Well done

    David,
I am certain that wherever he is, he is looking down and toasting our shaves every day and every moment from across this great blue planet of ours. So, I join you in raising my glass in his honor and memory, which will live forever in all of us.

Nice C-Mon Dunc. I am sure one day, she will deliver as satisfying a shave as with the Black Star. Maybe a little tweaking of the edge?

PS: Mark's contributions will surely live on

Robert, the razor feels just like any other. Neither weight nor balance is an issue on this one. I am guesstimating the weight is spot on where it would be, were it made entirely from steel.

    Default Friday:)

    Rain Rain Rain!!

    Pre-Shave: A relaxing shower
    Brush: Plisson HMW #16, horn
Razor: Jose Montserrat Pou, Filarmonica Sub Cero #14, Spike point
Honing Regimen: 1-5K Chosera, Shoubudani with full Nagura progression, finished on water
    Strop: Kanayama #90000, tri strop
Soap/Cream: Fitjar såpekokeri, East Indies shaving soap.
    Astringent: Thayers Medicated SuperHazel
After shave Balm: Penhaligon's Opus 1870
    EdT: Penhaligon's Opus 1870
Results: Clean as a whistle. Another Filarmonica, this time a Sub Cero. It took a killer edge on the first try. That edge combined with the Fitjar soap made for a sweet half hour in the bathroom this morning. I've honed up 3 new Fillys today, So I'll be sporting some Spanish gear these next few days. Judged by my previous experience, I'm in for a few sweet shaves

Thank you Robert, well, they don´t see much action though - I allways seems to reach for a straight razor, lol.

On Sunday my martial arts club are holding a 10 hour training session for charity to mark the passing of one of our black belts due to breast cancer aged just 46, today was her funeral.
Wish me luck for Sunday as I intend to do the full 10 hours.

Very nice blade Jeltz! And very well put, I hope everything works out as good as possible!
