    Soap - GFT Limes
    Astringent - ALUM
    ASB - Korres Borage SPF6

I missed last weeks SOTD. I was at MidMO. Great smooth, I like to keep the big blade cold during the shave. A couple licks on some CeOX and VOILA!

Pentecost service with our American guests in the St. George church of Glauchau.
    (Lutheran church)
After the service the deacon Kretzschmann gave us a guided tour and we climbed up the tower to get a view over the town.
Janice and her son Sam were very interested. Sam will become a US-Marine!

Result: First shave with this razor and I am impressed. She took a beautiful edge and brings about that feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. My honing time was cut in half after spending time with Lynn last weekend and learning some “tricks”.
Just read the other restoration thread. Great work. Thats awesome your honing has gone through such an improvement after hanging with "The Man".

    Béla,
Great brush and razor combination. I guess a German/Italian mix would become "Germilian", LOL.

I love your collection and your taste my friend. Beautiful Friodur...but seriously, the 3rd batch? Jeez Louise man!!!!! I am scared to ask, but how many Fillis are there in one batch? You can open up a museum with the pieces you have, LOL...or feed an entirely hungry 3rd world nation.

    Otto,
That BA is one gorgeous piece of steel. I bet she shaves like she looks too.

The Barber's Pet has just come back into the rotation after some time in the workshop and a hone. The blade/scale balance has never quite been right with this one. I'm thinking about parting with it, so I felt it should be corrected, so the holes in the scales were introduced as a solution, the balance is much better and I think they look pretty cool too.
Result: I only managed 1 pass before being interupted by missbehaving kids,
    Wowww Grant,
She looks marvelous. One could say that this one's a "Holy" razor, LOL. Great job...sorry about kids interrupting your zen shave, but kudos for sticking with it.

Great one Konstantinos. DE/Str8 alternation sounds very logical.

PS: Interesting book you've got there too. So, how did you (or will you) detox your body?

Beautiful Helje Sten. Gotta love these kinds of Sunday shaves. Love the Orchid touch in the background.

    Glenn,
I have to say this again: Fabulous (and creative) restore buddy. Congrats on cutting your honing time by 1/2. That's a major accomplishment. One day, I'll get there too.

That's one beautiful and hefty W&B.

PS: That MidMo meeting sure sounds like it was quite fun.

Post Week of June 12 SOTD - Sunday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 24mm Custom Shavemac D01, 2-band Silvertip Badger
Razor: 13/16" Respecto #77, Extra Hollow Ground, Round Point
Honing (touchup) Regimen: Coticule "La Veinette" + Shapton Pro 5k/12k + Y/G Escher
Strop: 0/5 laps (Torolf linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Acqua di Parma "Colonia" Shave Creme + Cella Crema de Barba Shave soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
Cologne: Acqua di Parma "Colonia" EdC
Results: Although each of these products is fabulous in of of themselves, the AdP/Cella (light on Cella) produces an amazingly rich überlather . Too much Cella and the AdP scent is muted, too little and you miss it. This was just right. The Respecto was my first ever straight razor and she is one of my best shavers. After refreshing her edge on the Coti/Shapton/Escher progression, I was rewarded with one of the best shaves I could dream of. This beauty can definitely hold her own amongst the best of the best. BBS smooooooth and ready to paint the town red today.
