The hammered tang only extends about halfway down the tang on the front of the razor. The remainder is smooth with the "HF" stamp.
    Very nice.

Another fine day here in sunny Oslo, had almost given up on sunscreen entirely after lots of rain lately.

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Omega boar
    Soap: Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood
Razor: David Issard frameback "Le Chantecler" 6/8
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Lavender Spice home brew
Notes: Perfect shave today. Could almost call it a one-pass BBS, needed a touchup/second pass below the jawline but apart from that pretty darn good. I still feel this razor has more to give tho, so I'll be bringing it to the Oslo meetup. Hopefully it will improve further

A brilliant shave. The RW is a big and heavy brute of a blade, but it has a gentle, nimble way of mowing down whiskers that is simply great. I could shave with this thing for the rest of my days, and I'd be nothing but smiles
Beautiful razor and photo. good luck on the golf course.

    Monday Shave:
After a great shave later in the day yesterday. This was a pretty cheap CBS shave. It really only required a heavy touch up to be back at CBS. Nothing very fancy here but a great Monday morning shave just the same.

    Prep: Hot Water Wash
    Razor: Imperial Extra Hollow Ground
    Soap: Face lathered VDH Deluxe
    AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Finish: Brut Cologne, Dax High and Tight.
The older I get, the better I was

    Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
    Brush: FS Finest Badger
    Soap: MWF
Razor: Superior Razors 5/8 Near Wedge
    Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel
    A/S: Old Spice
Result: After only managing 1 pass last night there was a decent amount of whisker growth to deal with tonight. This nice little wedge silently wiped it all away, and 3 passes later I'm smooth as a baby's butt. I few moments of day dreaming cost me a cut right smack in the middle of my left cheek from the spike point, but nothing too serious, a great shave.
    Have a great week boys.

I honed the Superior last week and brought Mariah back to the stones to dial her in. WOW They both provided an AWESOME 2 pass shave. Rivaled with a Fili. Yes That smooth! LOL!

Two days stubble lawned down by this English brute . I also did a full shave on our boy (he has learned to use a DE and I´ve done touch ups before, but this was the first full cut throat shave ). Now we´re two very happy campers about our shaves.
Excellent choice of gear Mikael. Well done

PS: I didn't know your boy was shaving age already!! Must have been double the pleasure for both father and son. Sounds like he's off to a great start.
